very sturdy, well made to axminster specs. i like too how the chuck is a better one than supplied from the factory - the sticker says 3-16mm but the one supplied is actually 1-16mm which is much more useful. for the money you couldn't get a better floor mounted pillar drill (or as i call it, drill press)
