This mould makes one extra large, crystal clear ice cube—a visually stunning accompaniment for your favourite spirits. The insulated foam sleeve causes the ice to freeze from the top down, forcing any bubbles or impurities to the base of the mould.

Review: This product delivers clear ice as promised, but I have found a couple tips that work for me in addition to the instruction provided. 1. Get the air out. If you fully assembly it and fill with water, air will get trapped under the ice cube mold and tapping it gently on the counter will free the trapped air. However, I have started to fill the larger mold about 3/4 full and then slowly inserting the top cube mold which fully pushes all the air out and they I just top off the remaining water. 2. Don’t allow the bottom section to fully freeze, this makes removing the ice much easier. The ice freezes from the top down, so the clear cube at the top will be fully frozen before the bottom and then the bottom tends to freeze around the outside with the middle freezing last. For me, after about 16 hours, the top cube is fully frozen and the outside of the bottom section is not fully frozen but solid enough to grab and separate from the top mold. Experiment with the time to see what works best for your freezer. 3. Store the cubes in a freezer bag so you have enough on hand for your needs. I did fail to make a clear cube on my first attempt since I was impatient and tried removing it from the mold before realizing the top cube wasn’t fully frozen, so user error and I learned I needed more time in the freezer and began setting a timer. I am now consistently making clear ice and have made over 10 perfectly clear cubes.

**Q: What is the final dimensions of the cube?**
A: 2" x 2" x 2"

**Q: does this work as advertised?**
A: Yes it really does work! The instructions aren't that great and make it seem harder than it is, but once you take it apart how it fits back together makes more sense. Only issue is that it is fairly large so be aware if you are tight on freezer space.

**Q: I cannot get the mold out. What am I doing wrong?**
A: If it fully freezes, the ice will expand making it harder to get out. Just keep pushing from the bottom and remove the small plug first. I find it helps to take it out when the top is frozen but the bottom isn’t fully solid, about 14 hours for me but your freezer may be different.

**Q: Is there a lid for this?  Ours didn’t come with one but we’d like one as the water sloshes out when stored on the freezer door!**
A: My order did not come with a lid.

Finally! This mold actually makes clear ice. Anything that doesn't talk about directional freezing is fake. This is the real deal, and it freezes in half a day!
