Then they wanted me to install a new motor, which I wouldn't have a problem, but I bought a warranty on it, so I wanted them to replace or repair mine...well they will replace it, after I pay 25 bucks shipping. This is a ripoff, buy another product. When the X axis was failing it clogged up and wasted half a spool of filament. Poor customer service, they are pretty quick to respond...with bad news. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mine works great other than my Windows 8 Surface Pro does not ... *by A***V on March 2, 2016* I bought this directly from the manufacturer. Mine works great other than my Windows 8 Surface Pro does not recognize it. My MacBook has no issues. I just design on my Surface Pro and print on the MacBook.Got it running in a few minutes with the software and printing free designs from thingeverse.Cons:The fan does get noisy from time to time, but not unbearable. It's my first 3D printer so I can't compare it to anything else. I run it in my bedroom as I sleep with my wife and 2 year old.Print area is pretty small.Print times seems slow to me but, as I read about others print time with other printers, its about the same. I watch it print and watch videos of other printers. It moves at the same rate.Pros:Affordable. great beginner printer. My plans are to use it to build parts for a larger printer to print at least 12x12x12 inch projects. Larger printer that prints 12x12x12 inch are way over $1k. With this and building my larger one, I get two printers for about 1/2 the price of a large printer.It's a beginners printer, small, very very very very light. lighter than my laptops and nothing other than the filament/USB?power cables are visible or accessible by un attended children.Summary:I've been researching and wanting to take the plunge to 3D printing for 3 years now. Building 3D printer was my goal but I did not feel comfortableMy journey to 3D printing so far.1. Bought the printer. Delivered and unboxed it. (1 Week)2. Plugged the filament in, connected the USB, connected the power cable. (1 Min)3. Downloaded their software from their site. Installed on my MacBook (5 min)4. Connected the printer and it was recognized, ran calibration and filament installation. (5min)5. Downloaded and STL file sample from their site and loaded it and started printing. (2 min)Print time for their 2x2x1/8 inch'ish sample was 4-5 Hours I believe.Printer so far:- Filament holder that clips onto the side of the printer. (didn't care about the quality so I set to the lowest settings 6 hours to print)- Cookie cutter for my wife. (Designed on free 123Design software in 30 min. Even though it was a smaller piece than the Filament holder.
