Without knowing much about sewing machines, I bought the cheapest I could find and kept my expectations low. Turns out this little machine won't work for my needs because the material won't fit under the foot. Whatever. I played around with the machine anyway and found that it actually works quite well for small items and thin materials. It was also great that the box included everything you need to get started, with different color thread, bobbins etc. I gave it to my adult daughter and she's been using it at her house for new curtains. I think this would be a great gift for some kids. I might normally give something like this 3 stars (it's cheaply made obviously) but I bump it another star because it packages everything you need and it comes out of the box thread and ready to use.
