The choice to use a relatively fine steel grit was chosen as a way to evenly completely coat the interior of the dome shaped interior of the Willard while also providing more than enough grit to easily shape away the cue tip. What about Willards Processing? Instead of being glued into the interior of the shaper the low carbon steel grit is brazed at over 500 degrees Celsius into the dome shaped interior of the Willard Shaper. Processing is done such that metal grit will evenly adhere to the dome shaped interior of the Willard. When the metal grit particles and the dome shaped interior are brazed together the grit is adhered into the interior of the shaper.
