Its small and light. I would fly with it. But you would have to take it out and put it in its own bin with all of the other electronics . I fly with a headlamp. **Q: where is manufactured?** A: I just received mine and the package says "Designed in the U.S.A. Made in China". **Q: Is this light waterproof?** A: The video on their website says it is waterproof IPX4 is the rating **Q: Is it possible to lock out the light so that it doesn’t get turned on inadvertently or does the design prevent that from happening?** A: I don't see a lock. You have to press the button to turn it on. I've only had it for a week or so, and I think it will be a nice addition to the motocamping / overlanding setup due to its compatibility and light weight. I watched a few YouTube videos on it before it arrived to figure out how to work it, which seems fairly self-evident, but when it arrives, it is in "demo mode," so be sure to turn that off to get it to work properly. I was getting frustrated for a few minutes until I figured that important detail out. Hopefully it can hold up to the punishment of being stuffed in a dusty saddle bag and the constant bumping up and down of the trail.
