Then I remembered I had this, and got it out of the trunk of one of my other cars where it had been sitting since July. I hooked it up to the old V8 Lincoln and it fired the engine right up! I went on my way and stopped at a store, went to start the Lincoln and the battery was still not charged so hooked up the jumpstarter and it fired the Lincoln back up again! I was really happy the unit arrived when it did, because it got colder. I charged up the unit, and the next day it was -24 F (-31 C). The unit worked great. When I hooked it up the car turned over and started right away. Of course, I drive an older car (another reason I bought the unit), so it doesn’t like the cold and wouldn’t stay running. So I waited the 30 seconds, pushed the button again, car started again. Finally, the car stayed running and I disconnected the unit. I had to start the car 6 times before it stayed running, and the JUMPTOP had plenty of power to do that, and then start my parent’s car also. And since it was only down to 3 lights (it gives you an indicator of how much charge there is—there are 4 lights to indicate fully charged) I could have started many more cars. This is a great unit, easily portable, light, and it even looks cool. But starting cars is only part of what it can do. It’s got 2 USB ports to charge phones and other devices. It comes with a cigarette lighter adapter, so you can use it to power anything that you have to put into your lighter to use. The flashlight has different settings and is really bright. This unit is also the newest model, which I chose over the slightly cheaper N-12. It featured more amps (3000 versus 2500) and I thought the extra ones could help when it is extremely cold. Like another reviewer, I did have a problem with the start button. When the unit arrived the start button was all pushed in and hard to activate. The unit worked well (above) but the button concerned me. I contacted the company and they got back to me right away. They were very concerned about the button and told me they would replace it. They sent me a replacement that arrived in two days, and was perfect. This is an honorable company with great customer service and a great product.
