Shipping was super fast, so be ready to grow shiitake mushrooms right away. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Got tasty mushrooms but not what I was anticipating *by K***. on March 6, 2021* I purchased this as a gift for someone else. The delivery window was about a week which doesn’t make it the best gift because it may be sitting around (and growing) for a while. I ended up keeping it for myself because timing did not work out to give as a gift. I received the log and mushrooms already fairly large in the box, to the extent where they were misshaped because there was no room to grow. I was able to harvest a good amount from the log but I feel like if I received the log without the initial growth I would have had more or larger mushrooms because they would not have been as stunted. Also, I feel that part of the fun of this is to see them start to grow from nothing (or at least grow from a small size) which I missed out on. I tried to grow a second round using the instructions and I was not successful.
