Follow directions & add a small amount of new food say 1tbs daily & remove 1tbs of old food gradually. Take as long as you like & you can add less to be extra cautious. At least do this for 7 days to 2 weeks. However I gave it to my kitten with only 50% reduction of old food & he did very well & by day 7 was eating this exclusively in addition to canned food. Clearly if it was killing them it wouldn’t be in a whole bunch of foods and the AAFCO wouldn’t approve of its use. There would be a lot of felines dying every time they consumed a food containing it if it was the case. But it’s not. **Q: Is this made from lab grown meat?** A: I don't believe it is. It does meet AAFCO nutritional profiles for all life , stages, doesn't use by products or meal, and natural preservatives. I am a curious cat about lab grown meat in pet foods.
