It seemed to worked fine until I backed up my OS to it. The Crucial SSD overheated. Replaced both items. It turns out the crucial was bad but this the original adapter still worked. The new item again overheated the new Crucial SSD. I the tired the same operation my installing the Crucial SSD into my motherboard. No Overheat. I tried a Samsung EVO 970 in the adapter. It also overheated. There obviously is a problem with the adapter. I do not recommend. The original Crucial SSD is bad. Additionally, the adapter uses a rubber insert in place of a screw which does not always hold the ssd in place. ### ⭐ DOA *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2019* Purchased for backup use.
