I will say this, in order to install it on a standard cane, you will need to add some lubricant to the bottom of the cane tip. I added some liquid hand soap to the bottom of my can was able to slide the new Vibram tip on just fine. Once it's on, it will set up and will not come off. With out the soap, it will not slide on and will not fit at all. Not this thing! I've had this tip for nearly 2 months now and it looks the same as when I got it. That doesn't sound like much time, but I don't use my cane as intended (I use it more like a crutch). My hip sort of drops when I walk, so my cane supports much of my weight when walking. That was too much on my other cane tip but it isn't a problem for this one. This thing looks like it's made out of tire rubber! It hasn't marked any flooring yet, though I haven't used it on indoor hardwood.
