I have, up until recently, carried my earbuds loose with the equipment that uses them. However, I have become aware that I could inadvertently damage the earbuds or lose the little ear caps that attach to the earbuds. I required some means to keep things tidy and together and these cases are an excellent solution.I recently purchased a pair of Bluetooth earbuds, which incorporate their own rechargeable battery. Buttons for controlling the earbuds are built into one of the earpieces. I used to carry them loosely but changed my mind when one day I found them active in my accessory case and draining their battery. Putting the Bluetooth earbuds into their own case prevented them from being activated inadvertently.The very best earbud case I have ever used comprised two, solid, dished metal disks that simply 'screwed' together encapsulating the earbuds within the cavity. The metal case was virtually indestructible. The leather cases reviewed here are not in that class but they are good value. The zipper feels tough and the carry 'tag' a nice but important extra touch.
