It's pretty, but not babyish. We have 8' ceilings, with about 5" of moulding. I lined up the decal with the top of the wall, touching the crown moulding, but it was about 1' short of reaching the base moulding. So the sticker is only 6'6" tall. I decided to set a flower pot with some silk flowers to hide the blank spot at the bottom.I wanted the blossoms to go both directions from the trunk, so had to do some finagling. The cherry blossoms come in 4 separate stickers (labeled 1, 2, 3, & 4 as they go out from the trunk), so I placed #1 above the trunk & 2 to its left as directed, then turned #3 sideways to butt into the corner to the right of the trunk, then placed #4 to the right of #3. (I hope that made sense!) That made the tree normal-shaped instead of the half-tree that you see in the picture. It comes with lots of extra petals and individual flowers (which in the picture are floating on the breeze with the butterflies), as well as some small branch stickers (which I cut diagonally to make twice as many thinner branches) and I used those to fill in the corner, outside edges, and the spots where the stickers met since changing the placement made the outline kind of funky. TIP: put the branches under the flowers - they're all translucent, but it looks better for the branches to be the bottom layer. After filling in, it looked PERFECT. I read a lot of the reviews about it peeling off which I did encounter on one or two of the decals. but I believe if you don't stick it to the wall and remove it too many times you will be ok. so try to get it right the first time and then just press it down firmly to the wall. it came in a large thin box. which then had the rest of the things that I ordered from Amazon put in it.*****update.10-18-2014. No problems with it yet. Occasionally ill just rub them to keep them stuck to the wall. I had to use my whole upper body to get the pieces up evenly and keep them from sticking to themselves. The static electricity was making it near impossible to do. The flower parts had random stuff that stuck out that kept sticking to the sticky back and were warped after struggling to free them again and again. Make sure you have an extra set of hands to help or you will lose your mind. I think they should make one that can be put up the opposite way this one can. Also- if you don't have white walls it will come out weird.
