I'm using it as a chest protector for various heavy lifting jobs that I do. For my needs and purposes, this protector is very adequate. It's very flexible and conforms to the contours of the chest well. In addition, it flexes off the chest just a little bit so as to get a good stream of air running across the chest for ventilation. Since I'm not riding a motorcycle, I generate a lot of sweat on my chest when wearing this protector but the protector's flexion allows a lot of air to circulate across my chest and evaporate off the sweat.
