Tiling Complete: 2nd Edition Paperback – January 30, 2018

I bought this book in preparation for remodeling my bathroom. It got good reviews and it’s title is “Tiling Complete” so I figured it would cover all typical applications of tiling. However, it does not cover tiling a shower or tub surround at all! 20 pages of tile countertops and nothing on showers? How many people today are tiling their countertop and not their shower? I guess it will be useful for my floor and vanity backsplash but I just bought ordered a different book to cover the shower walls.

Very Informative, Well written

One of the first things this book says is it “will not show you how to tile a water area such as a shower or tub surround”. This was disappointing to me as the title is, “Tile Complete” which suggests they don’t leave out major types of tile applications. Other than that the book is very thorough and has great pictures to help you understand the reading. It has many craftsman tips and tricks to do a great job. I feel it is a valuable book for beginners as the education on types of tiles and their best uses is very good. Also, the information on tools to use and how to use them is really great. I just wish it did say in the description that it did not include information on tiling wet areas. I would recommend this book for any beginner because the information that it does have is super detailed and could help avoid mistakes when learning to tile for yourself. I am glad I purchased it. It is a valuable addition to my diy library.

Was looking more advanced projects- stripping & leveling unlevel/problem concrete floor & laying rectified plank porcelain tile.

Average book of information on tile work. Wish it had more specific projects covered, and left off the fluff. Fairly well illustrated.

This "Tiling Complete" is anything but. There is literally NOTHING on bathrooms and tiling for tubs or showers. Nothing! To totally avoid the most frequently tiled room in a house is just inept. The other so called "information" in the book seems more like product placement. There is very little actual "How To" in the book; it's much more "Buy this thing." Totally disappointing, and one of the single worst "How to" books I've ever bought.
