I like this magnet. It works very well. It is a good value for the cost.

I use this when checking gold and silver bullion or coins. This has helped me out a ton. I found 3 pieces that I had bought turn out fake because I trusted them. This has magnet changed the game for me, I found 2 pieces in a collection that was fake just because of this magnet, 100/100 would buy again. Strong magnetic field as well gotta be careful with it

Great magnet and extremely solid construction. I subjected it to harsh use while I was trying to pull stuck valve shim buckets (lifters) from an engine head. The surface of the valve lifters was too smooth and there wasn't enough friction to grip and dislodge it. I wound up having to weld a nut and bolt to the top and pull it out but this magnet performed beyond my expectations. The build quality is as solid as a rock and having dealt with other neodymium magnets, I can safely say this is the upper limit in power that I would want to use in that application. It can be dangerous when handled inappropriately, such as swinging it near a cam shaft.

I use this to quickly locate steel studs which are most commonly found in commercial building construction. It's a heck of a lot faster than relying on a less than accurate off the shelf stud finder. Trick of the trade I suppose. My only gripe is the 33lb rating for this magnet feels a little exaggerated, however my experience with this magnet is based on contact with steel studs that are only 1/8" thick or less. I found that the more substantial (thick) the metal I am attempting to make contact with, the stronger the magnetic surface connection is. I only wish they made this model in stronger ratings. The handle is an awesome feature it makes it not only easy to use, but easy to find in my tool bag. An as a bonus the magnet comes with a nice plastic cap for the magnetic head, so you can prevent damage to services and the magnet itself. I highly recommend this magnet.

This is a must for jewelery sellers. I bought one and will probably get another one. This is such a strong earth magnet, you will have no doubt if something is silver or not, or at least has silver or gold in it. Note, the only true way to know is to test the item. But, this magnet will aid in separating costume jewelry from the finer items.
