Colorific Wood Worx Steam Train Kit

Glue and paints that came with the model were dried out and unusable. We used our own. I suggest painting the parts first then putting it together. Nice little model for young kids. My 5 yr old enjoys it. Wheels will roll when built.

I received it half opened, with the paint completely dried out. Wasn't worth my time returning it.

Mostly the same findings as the Jan 15, 2014 reviewer, but I'll give it 4 stars: While there wasn't enough glue, and 4 of the 6 paints were dried out, the wood pieces fit together very nicely, and the resulting product was a hit with my grandson. Someone else in the family bought it for him... he just "graduated" from Kindergarten! He applied the glue, but I held the pieces together until they set (nice moderately quick acting glue); we used Quick Grip glue to put the cow-catcher on. He was a good kid about waiting a day for the glue to really harden before painting it! Only the black and white paints were still slightly usable, but I tried adding water to the others and was able to "reactivate" most of them somewhat, so, even tho the paint ended up kind of "thin", he was very happy that we at least got enough to "cover" the train! The next day, he had a ball deciding which decals to use and putting them one. One happy First Grader now! I'm just glad the wood pieces and decals were so well designed!

The little boy in question loves trains so it was a hit. The wrong item was originally dispatched but the seller very quickly rectified this with no problems encountered further. I did not open the item so cannot comment on the quality, but the feedback from the recipient was very positive!

six year old loved it
