I used these beauties to pierce a 1 month old baby. Couldn't be happier. The system works flawlessly. The size is perfect for newborns. It's just perfect.

Do it!!
I gave in to the quarantined-for-too-long urge to do something "crazy" and decided to give myself a second earlobe piercing. I took a chance on these DIY ear guns and I am very pleased! I have never done something like this before but I'm so glad I did so let me tell you a little about it, in case you're in the same boat.I did a little research beforehand about what professional piercers have to say about placement etc. I ended up measuring a dot 1cm back from my first earlobe piercing and .5cm up from the bottom edge of my earlobe, if that makes sense. You'll have to see what looks right on your own ear (or whatever body part you are piercing). I also checked the angle of my first piercing to try and make sure the second piercing would be at the same angle (in other words if I wear two hoops, for example, they won't be pointing in two different directions). The ear guns came sealed and with alcohol swabs included. I put a dot with a sharpie tip on my ear where I wanted it, wiped my earlobe with an alcohol swab, checked that the dot was still visible, and handed my husband the ear gun. He lined the point of the earring up with the dot on my earlobe, and matched the angle with my ear (I asked him to try for directly perpendicular). He squeezed it just enough that it was kind of "holding" my earlobe in place, and then when I said "go" he pressed it through. .One thing you should note is that as soon as you press the ear gun all the way, part of it will fall away in pieces! That's normal. It doesn't take too much effort to press the piercing through (an earlobe, anyway) and it didn't hurt at all. I didn't use a numbing agent or ice cube before hand, either. About ten minutes later my ears did start to feel a little sore and that lasted for about fifteen minutes. They have not hurt since! It's now been four weeks since I did the piercing and they are doing great! Every day, morning and night, I hold a paper towel up to my ear and spray the piercing with a little saline wound wash spray. So far no problems! I plan on doing the saline wash two more weeks, following the advice of professional piercers.I would highly recommend this!! If you're on the fence about a DIY piercing, I would say get these and do it!! :)

It's a gun with all the cons, go to a professional
Male here if that matters to you. It's been about 4-5 weeks after using these to do my first earlobe piercing. The process was fast and easy I had help from a friend to make sure the placement was correct and even with my lobes. The gun comes apart after use and I didn't have any issues with it. The butterfly clip at the back needed to be adjusted to where it belongs on the studs bar because the gun clamps it down together. After reading more on aftercare and the actual mechanical difference between a needle and gun for piercing. I wish I had gone to my tattoo artist to get it done. The big difference between the two is that a professional needle is hollow and sharpens in a way to cut a little bit of flesh from your ear to accommodate your new jewelry. The gun is just forcing a stud through your skin to place it.DO NOT use this to do a cartilage piercing. You risk shattering the cartilage in your ear.Over all I had a positive experience with the product and it works as advertised. However after learning more about how things are done. Guns are an "old way" of doing things and you owe it to yourself to go to a professional who will do it right with the correct gear. Covid made us do some crazy stuff, don't give yourself a reminder of a bad year with a bad piercing.

Easy and quick.
I liked this product. I had a piercing close, so wanted to re-pierce it. The gun was easy to use and the plastic piece with the earring just broke - as it was supposed to. I did pull up a youtube video on how to do it, which helped. The earrings were well made and looked really good. Kept them in for 8 weeks, turning each day, and I did not experience any issues at all. The only thing I would bring up is to make sure you mark on your ear where you want the hole. The youtube video said to do that, and I did not. I realize now that my pierce is off just a bit (more toward the outside of the ear, than I would have liked). Just make sure you put the gun where you want it, but that is not a problem with the product. It wasn't totally painless, but it wasn't bad at all. The gun is quick and it put the earring in with the back on, so no need to mess around with it. VERY EASY. Highly recommended! EXCELLENT price - the earrings alone are worth that price!!

Don't over think it
The media could not be loaded. I love how easy it is, they say you shouldn't do cartilage because it will shatter it but if you're a rebel like me you don't listen and I will tell you I've already done 7 piercings with this, on my cartilage and everything is fine again just be very sanitary and make sure you're cleaning out your ears well with the proper cleaner.
