I bought this cat tree as a gift for a friend with seven cats.This is a large, very tall tree with a surprisingly compact footprint. Counting the tops of the boxes, there are eight places for a cat to perch. The wide flat shelves allow one cat to rest there while another can use the same shelf to climb to a higher perch. It has spaces for different cat preferences - the very top for one who loves height, comfortable boxes for those who like to cuddle in a cave, broad shelves for those who like to sprawl out or to observe the world as they relax.There is no fabric for cat claws to tear, and all of the posts are covered in rope for scratching. Cat hair doesn't stick to this as it does to fabric or carpet, which is good if you have a long-haired cat. The overall look is very clean and modern. There is a slight wobble as the cats jump up and down, but nothing serious, and no danger of tipping.My friend uses a wheelchair, and the octagonal base means that she can maneuver around this without catching her wheels on the corner of the base, as happened with her old cat tree, that had a square base. If you position this with the wide edge of shelf "D" against the wall, and box "C" out of the flow of traffic, nothing extends past the base to bump into.This was very easy to assemble, if you lay out your pieces by type before you start, and pay attention to the direction diagrams. You will need a step-stool to attach the top box "F." Do assemble it near where you want to use it. It's easiest if you unpack the box by the door, and then move the pieces to whatever room your going to use this in. Also be sure, for the base "A" that you have the side with the wide recessed spaces on the screw holes against the floor, as it will make sure that the metal screw-heads don't touch your floor, and the tree is supported by the entire base.

The media could not be loaded.  Here’s the thing. I’m kind of mad Ive spent so much money on other Walmart, Petco and Petsmart towers. Don't get me wrong, my cat loved them and loved their carpet. But this tower is for the long haul. Its VERY sturdy and our family loves that we can customize it. The natural wood gives us an opportunity to paint it or finish so that this big cat tower can blend in with the home decorations and my husband likes that he could use wood glue to add carpet or more rope on areas our cat would use the such to scratch. Luckily, we haven't had to customize it yet because we like it just as it is. We’ve had the towed for month now. Our cat likes to perch ad bird watch. But she does more than that in the new tower. Things that we love: its size, the large bases our small 10 pound cat can stretch and lay on, the two boxes that have few entries (helps our cat feel save and warm), and its quality (its sturdy, clean cut, simple, and easy to assemble). We feed our cat on one of the bases to keep the dog away from her food. Things to consider: the wood is not polished or painted- it is sanded smooth, which can cause older cats or cats with untrimmed nails some difficulty. The pads provided for the inside of the cat boxes are not attached (but they are soft and cozy). Finally, its heavy and big- so consider assembling it closer to where you want it placed permanently. We have a two year old and she is a climber. We have no worries that she would knock this down. Its very stable and sturdy. This cat tower is ideal for one very large standard cat (I’d say it could MAYBE be used for one small/medium Maine Coon cat) or two small/medium cats. Our small cat is so incredibly happy to have such a big tower- its like she has her own apartment. Best thing we could have down for the cat. She doesn't even think about laying on the couches or destroying the carpet.

I was excited to build this for my cats. First thing I notice was the damaged exterior box. ( doesn't bother me as long as everything inside is good ). One of the houses was cracked. The product itself feels very solid and great quality. But wtf? There's no foam lining or anything inside the box. It's literally the two houses , platforms and the circular connecters. I was actually going to look past one of the cracked houses and use it anyway. Guess what? Literally nothing to install this. No parts at all. I guess I was the unlucky one with this order. Returning and won't be ordering again.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a large basic solid wood modern cat tree with a ton of potential. I bought this tree as it is the tallest and most sturdy of all the modern wood cat trees, however it is pretty basic and needing some additional modifications imo.The wood is unfinished, so I stained it with Danish oil to bring out the natural grain and protect it from scratching. I also glued on some outdoor carpeting on the higher structures to give additional grip and comfort. I separately bought a sisal rope cat ladder to add extra climbing support, scratching and interest and then tied some cat toys to the excess rope. I also bought a dome bed as my cats don't always like resting in an enclosed bed and it adds a lot of fun and interest without taking up too much space. However, the screws provided aren't long enough to support additional furniture between the poles, so I had to separately buy extra long screws to allow the dome bed to fit. I also bought more hanging toys which have been entertaining them every day so far.I love the outcome of this project and how it looks in my living/dining room and everyone tells me I have the nicest looking cat tree they have ever seen.Most importantly my cats play on it everyday and will continue to enjoy it for years to come.

My cat loves it! It is overall sturdy but wiggle a bit because of the height. I put a box of cat litter on the bottom. Problem solved. It is made of wood, non carpeted. It is beautiful and easy to clean! Best cat tree ever.

Least ugly cat tower out there without jumping into the 'designer' tower market. The kitties love it and one no longer sharpens his claws anywhere but on the posts of this tower. If only I could get the other one to do the same!

The top cubby is wobbly, but other than that this is a great tree. 2 of my cats love the cubbies and the 3rd cat loves to stretch out on the topmost wooden platform - its very spacious so she can stretch to her whole length.I love that the wooden platforms are solid wood - when they become to grimy you can take apart the tree and sand everything down or add a stain to it/paint it etc. and the posts can easily be re-sisaled from rope found at any hardware store.In short, cats LOVE it and it will look great for years. Solid investment.

This cat tree is the best !!! Made of wood i peinted it to match our wooden pieces. Our three cats love its. Amazing product.

Wonderful Cat tree! gives my cat more personal space and he loves climbing on it. He will often sleep in the top cubby. I especiall love this product because it does not take too much space but gives my cat a space to climb and play.
