It pretty tough to out perform a Thomson

this seat post is better than the stock post
I needed to move my center of gravity aft on my new MTB bike to lighten the front wheel. I added a shorter 45mm stem from the stock 90mm stem. added a pair of 50mm riser handlebars. just needed to move my saddle more aft. this thomson post moved my saddle back to were i can get more power strokes from my cranks due to no knee bend. this post did not move my body aft as much as i wanted while sitting but I gained power in my crank strokes. Of course I can always stand up on my pedals and pull my front wheel up.

Keeps saddle right where it should be
The stock seatpost that came on my Giant Talon 2 couldn’t keep the saddle secured and tight in rough rocky rides. This seatpost with its two screw adjustment system did the trick. Rock solid stable now. The offset design also gave me a little more room to work with as the stock straight post had me a little too close to the handlebars. Highly recommended.
