We need to be able to scoop unwanted matter from our pond. I like that this scoop can handle some weight, and we are able to supply our own sturdy handle at the needed length

Every once-in-a-while I stumble across a product that is head and shoulders above anything I've seen. I bought this product because it was "in the price range" of other comparable products, but with a 0.2 point higher rating. But that rating difference doesn't tell how good is this story. This U.S. Pool Supply product (I had never heard of the company before) looks good and sturdy right when you take it out of the box, but the real joy is after using it for 2-3 months. Only then do you notice the all the "little things" that they did in its design -- the thickness, the angles, the details of the net -- things that help you when you are skimming as well as taking up leaves from the bottom of the pool. It's also the easiest product to dump out that I've ever seen. This product is a solid 5.0. Not a 4.6 that rounds up to 5, but it deserves a 5.00. In fact, if I could give them a 5.2 I would do it!

I wish the opening was a bit taller to catch more debris. However, it catches leaves and debris well. It attaches to the pole easily. Im concerned that when the plastic clip breaks it may be impossible to replace it (see pics). I might be able to unscrew it, but that will be a pain. Should have just left the end open.

Works very easy and gets everything out of the pool easily

The Frame and Attachment to the Pole seem very solid and sturdy, and the Net is the only thing that I would want to change to a slightly Finer Mesh, but overall it fits the bill at doing what it's suppose to do.I'LL update later if things change with the Durability of the Net.

This skimmer net replaced a Gorilla brand skimmer that was many years old. It has a sturdy metal connector that attaches to your pole. Note that the pole is not included. For picking up leaves and large debris, it works great. The problem is that the mesh of the bag is not fine enough to pick up small seeds and pollen that is shed by the large sweetgum trees on the north side of my pool. I can't speak on durability as have not had long enough, but I am very disappointed that I will need to buy a different skimmer to be able to pick up the small particles. 3 stars for sturdy construction, 2 stars taken away for the large openings of the mesh bag.

This net may be a tick higher priced than others but is totally worth it. Strong and sturdy with plastic catches that are thicker than most. There is a plastic weight that helps keep the net down when scooping to make sure you don't loose your contents. This will be my go-to once it needs to be replaced (which may be a LONG time from now). It's large content capacity is perfect for scooping out the leaves in the fall.
