Magical Christianity: The Power of Symbols for Spiritual Renewal, with a CD of Guided Meditations

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would have. There is some association with Gareth Knight and this author and this is why I bought the book. I was not disappointed at all. Those of us who are "Too pagan to be Christian and too Christian to be pagan" can experience some interesting effects from the meditations shared in this book. There is a CD as well which is so nice to have.

Wonderful book

Very superficial

For those wanting to explore the archetypal and magical elements of the Christian tradition, look no further - "Magical Christianity" is the book for you. It delves into the underlying archetypal ideas, themes, and patterns inherent in Christianity, and illustrates how these ideas about divinity, sacred space, the movement of energies, and how the cosmos works is something that Christianity, particularly early and medieval Christianity, shared with many earlier religions. It explores Christianity's understanding of sacred geometry, explaining the significance of the sphere, circle, axis center point, and four directions - illustrating their importance in theology and use in sacred architecture.This book is highly recommended for those who desire more from their religion than the latest version of the often mistranslated scriptures, and who desire to know how the early Church conceptualized the patterns of the cosmos and the flow of energies between heaven and earth.

I found this book to be one of the best I have ever read. I also own the one by Nicholas Whitehead and found the new chapter to be extremely benefical. I wouldn't part with either. I have purchased both for my daughter and my son. I have also purchased Coleston Brown's new book Contacting Spiritual Beings from magicalways.com. This book is a must for anyone who has his previous book(s).
