Awesome! Very lifelike
These comments are only related to the Melrose International 'Simplux' brand. These electronic candles are the best that I have ever seen - not saying others are not the same or better, but I haven't seen them and I've seen dozens. 1) The candle is actually made of wax and it is very 'substantial' in weight. 2) The 'flame actually has 3 components: a) The candle 'body' has an internal flicker light that is synchronized with the 'flame'. b) The 'flame' has a realistic/random mechanical movement (side to side). c) the 'flame bulb' is very realistic - the flame base is bluish as the top tip becomes yellowish. I can't handle the smoke from real candles, I actually prefer the LED. Also: The battery life very high and it can be remote controlled (the remote is not included in 'singles', possibly in 'kits") I purchased mine separately (Melrose 53425).

no remote with the candle
I was not aware that I had to order a remote extra.

Beautiful, realistic.
Beautiful and realistic. Generic ACE brand batteries lasted all Christmas season.

Just quit
Worked fine for about 2 months, then it started malfunctioning. It was flashing quickly like a strobe light instead of softly flickering. Disappointed that it happened right after the return window. It was pretty while it lasted.

You will be wowed by this candle
I bought 2 of these exact candles for $35/each at gift shop 4 yrs ago. They are real wax and have the most realistic flame of any candle I have seen. The design and details on the wax are exquisite. They work perfectly. I use them mostly during holidays but also some during the year. They still have original DuracellBatteries. I have ordered another candle from this site.

Great!
I own alot of Simplux candles. NOTE: When you see the candle start to flicker off and on, it's time to change the battery. *Read the other review where the person thought the candle wasn't working because it would flicker like a strobe light.
