Great watch, but unfortunately the material of the face is not strong enough to withstand the work of a mortician. I had a small crack within the face in less than 3 days. At least it’s still usable. And yes, perhaps I should use the warranty, but the time frame to repair seems lengthy and more costly than just buying a new one.

I loved the watch, until the battery needed to be replaced. The back was a complete pain to get off. Then when trying to pop it back on, the glass broke! I’d love another, but will be going to something that I can change myself without it breaking. Don’t want something that you spend almost as much on a battery change, (needing to ship it, pay for service, etc) as the watch costs. That’s ridiculous.

Okay, so when I purchased this Speidel watch, I read the reviews about the face being hard to read. Well, it sure was! However, 8 months after wearing it, I discovered it had a thin plastic protective film on the face plate that was coming off. I peeled it the rest of the way. Wow, real clear to read after that! But wait....... sometime during those 8 months not being able to read this watch, I went and had my eyes checked. Got glasses...... Didn't know I actually needed to get my eyes checked had it not been for this watch. Unfortunately I picked out ugly frames! Hate wearing them........I bought another watch in the same lavender color. Then I went to the Speidel website and bought a watch band to replace my old one. My most favorite watch ever!!!! Bty, still wearing my first watch face plate a year later. The face plate is a hard tough glass. No scratches after a year of wear. And the glass is still perfectly intact. I am typically rough with watches and having a good quality watch that doesn't fall apart within a week has been near impossible to find. Until I found this watch. This watch has been through so much. The silicone things that hold the excess watch band down once you fasten it are loose. They sometimes come off if I am not being too careful taking the watch off. Had to look around my room and house many times trying to find my missing watch band tie downs. Over all, this is a great watch!

EDIT: After 2 1/2 years the battery finally went dead. Really great since our Momentum watch cost about the same for a battery replacement and those only lasted just over a year. When the battery died on the watch described below I went to YouTube to get guidance on how to break the crystal. So we bought another and wow, the hads are dark and you can read them so I changed the review to 5 stars. It is now the perfect watch. Just buy a new one when the battery dies. This is for a person who swims with the watch 3 days a week 50 weeks a year.Old review:First, this is not too small. Hard to tell the difference from her last watch which is a bit larger. The numbers are very easy to read but where are the hands? Unless the light is strong, she can't read the watch because the contrast between the watch face and the hands is not enough. No problem so far with swimming but as she swims three times a week for 50 minutes I am sure we will find out if there is an issue and I will update this review. Our biggest worry on waterproof is after a battery change. She had a Swiss Army watch and it leaked after the battery was replaced. That was under warranty and she replaced it with a Momentum dive watch. That has gone through several battery changes but it costs $48 to change the battery at the factory and they only last just over 18 months. One was just a year. Last battery change also took a month so we bought this and hope the battery last longer. If it lasts more than 18 months we will be money ahead even if throw it out rather than replace the battery. But the other watch is easier to read.

I purchased this for nursing school and loved the fact that it had a distinct red seconds hand, I also have very small wrists which was a motivator for purchasing the petite size. While it did fit, the face was so small I found it rather pointless for my needs (and I have 20/20 vision).Additionally, my first impression when I pulled it out of the delivery packaging was the fact that it had a price tag on it, stating that it was $59.95. I paid $90... not sure how they valued this at $90, or even $60 for that matter. Nothing special about it...

I was looking forward to this watch as I was looking for something simple and for work. The 24 hour numbers are very hard to see, even with the white background. The watches “luminous hands” did not work either. I also think my watch came used due to the plastic part that needs to be removed around the dial was not there. Not what I expected.

I work in customer service, so I really need a watch to keep track of time. This watch has big numbers so with a quick look I know what time it is. I only wish this watch had softer watch bands.

I bought this watch for my girlfriend who's a nurse working on night shifts. She loves the look but was very disappointed to see that the watch wasn't glowing in the dark. As she works the night, she often needs to be able to look at her watch in the dark so this seemed like a good option because the description says that the watch got ''Luminous Hour & Minute Hands that Glow in the Dark'' ... But it doesn't ! Not even a faint of a glow... So disappointing !

We bought this for our daughter who is entering the medical field. She was thrilled with the watch and it looks just as it was described. We are happy with this purchase. Our daughter has slim wrists and the band fits her well.
