This stuff is awesome. First time I’ve ever reviewed something like this. You literally feel hydrated all day, never greasy, and the smell is amazing!! It comes out of the tube pretty quick so go slowly.

I recently started using this after shaving my head and reading a variety of reviews on Amazon to see which aftershave lotion would work best for my scalp. When I first applied this lotion, the smell was very strong! I was very self-conscious for a few hours as I work in customer service, oftentimes in very close proximity with other people. As a few other people have mentioned, it has a strong, "medicinal" type smell...if you're not careful with your application.I wanted to give this product a few more tries before returning it, and boy am I glad I did! The secret to using this product effectively is making sure to use the PROPER amount! I use a very small amount of lotion (about the size of a dime) and the smell is a lot more tolerable and pleasant as a result. Just make sure to use it about an hour or two before you have to be in public if you're extra worried about offending those around you with the smell.Other than the odor, the lotion works as advertised. I have seen a significant reduction in skin irritation, bumps, dryness, and dandruff. It's reasonably priced, which is also a nice bonus. Well worth trying - just be careful how much you dab on your head!

I started using Headlube when I first started shaving my head, then recently switch to Dare to Be Bald (D2BB). Hands down, I like the D2BB better than than Headlube. The Headlube is thicker and doesn't soak in very quickly. It also doesn't give my head any shine, despite using the glossy version, and it leaves a buttery smell, which isn't too bad, but I could do without. On the other hand, the D2BB is thinner and soaks in immediately. It has a soothing feel to the skin and leaves a faint, pleasant minty smell. The D2BB lasts all day, and gives my head a nice shine that my wife noticed right away! Most importantly, it leaves my head silky smooth, hydrated and bump free. Dare to Be Bald is the much better product and the kicker is... It's almost half the price!! Highly recommend.

A beautiful, beautiful product! Black, white, green, or brown. This product is top-notch! If you are bald or shave your head you need this in your arsenal! A nice creamy white lotion that goes on feeling nice and cool and helps with an e irritation. I found this by watching my good-brother Nate Matthews review it on YouTube. He is a young black man who is part of the bearded community and I find his knowledge and his opinions to be worth listening to. I would definitely say if you shave your head you should buy this. Not only does it feel good going on it makes your head shine wonderfully and if you let it dry and put another layer on it even shines more! Not expensive and worth every penny! If it were a little bit more expensive I would still buy it! If you are not interested in what Nate has to say you can just get to about 6:08 to catch all of what he says about Dare To Be Bald.[...]

Moisturizes well but has a strong coconut oil odor. It’s ok to use if I’m staying home, but I don’t like to smell like I’ve put on Hawaiian Tropic suntan lotion when I’m going out.
