The metal gauge is thin and bends easier than I remember when I had one 20 years ago.
Overall happy with this purchase. The metal gauge is a bit thinner than I remember them being. It bends very easy. The arrow that helps you line up your seam is small. I had to take it off and add some florescent stickers to make it easy to see. I think it should have been bigger. I will be keeping this purchase as it is not worth returning it. But these items above are something to take into consideration.Have not used the pencil yet enough to comment on it

The only problem I have is the gauge is crooked and no matter how I try it won’t line up. I wanted to contact the seller first but couldn’t figure out how to do so. May be mines was just a flawed one

Product is okay, not the best.
I bought this product to replace one I have had over 40 years that seems to have vanished . This one does the same thing, but is flimsy, too easily bent, and does not have the 5/8" marker at one end as my previous one did. The measurements are the same, the slider works well. The metal part is simply not as sturdy as it should be.

Pencil is grey color, which doesn't show up on many fabrics
A white pencil would be better, as it could be seen on most fabrics... the grey color pencil is invisible on denim for example. I like the idea that it is a money saving set.

classic measurer
This tool is a classic, and it's still a super useful tool for any sewing kit. I inherited one from my mother that I finally had to replace because the markings had worn off - I'm pleased these are still made!

There are better
Sewing gauge is useable but very flimsy. Fabric marking pencil lead is very hard so need a lot of pressure to mark then lead breaks requiring sharpening so it did not last very long. Straight pins are straight pins... straight and they pin, just short pins.

Sharpen and breaks as soon as you put it to the fabric.Ruler works:)

Incredibly thin "metal" that can you easily snap. Terrible.
