Works Well Enough
This review is only for the live Korean channels available through the EVPAD3. We don't watch anything in the prerecorded libraries or any other country's channels, but I assume the quality and stability of the feeds are comparable.Over the past 5 years or so, we've tried a dozen different sources for live direct-from-Korea programming ranging from 100% legal like DirecTV to grey market like these Android streaming boxes from China. All things considered, the worst was DirecTV through their satellite dishes ($30+ per month add-on to existing base programming, 480 resolution on some channels and never better than 720p on anything, only about 10 "real" channels) and the best by a landslide was the 88tv app that ran on Android boxes (extremely smooth and stable with easily 95% uptime, minimum 1080p on ALL channels (honestly as sharp, vibrant, and smooth as anything HD on cable or Fios), great channel guide, 100% consistent channel offerings, 7-day playback, and the list goes on). Unfortunately, starting about a week ago, the 88tv app stopped getting any feeds, and based on past experiences with other similar offerings, there's a good chance it'll never work again. So that's where the EVPAD3 comes in. It uses an app called Mars Live that provides feeds from many, many different countries including South Korea. The channels are organized by their respective countries, and those countries are themselves selectable categories, so if you just want say Korean programming, you select "South Korea", and then you can proceed to just use the channel up/down buttons on the remote to cycle through the Korean offerings only. When you reach the last Korean channel in the list, it will automatically take you back to the first Korean channel in the list with the next channel down button press. If you want to switch to say Japanese programming, you'd similarly select "Japan", and you can cycle through only Japan channels. The app also remembers your last selected country, so when you turn your box completely off and then on later, it'll default you to the available channels for that country. The other good thing about the EVPAD3 and Mars Live is that most of the time (maybe around 70%), the resolution and frame rates are very good (at least 1080p and smooth). During certain times of the day though and with certain channels, programming can get very pixelated and choppy. The solution is typically just to watch another channel since this doesn't happen across the board at any given time. We've been using the EVPAD3 extensively for the past week, and we haven't experienced any full-on outages.Channel-wise, what the EVPAD3/Mars Live offers is decent: there's probably about 20 or so "real" channels (88tv offered almost twice that). A real downside to the EVPAD3/Mars Live is that channel offerings aren't consistent. Channels you had one day will be missing the next day (sometimes being replaced by another channel, sometimes not). And when I say "missing", I mean the channel is completely gone from the channel list, and not just that the channel is black/has no feed. This is the same behavior we've seen with the Kooli live channel list (Kooli is a $20 per month service), and I assume it has to do with licensing and/or server issues. In summary, if you ever used the old TVPads, you already have an idea of what your experience with the EVPAD3 and Mars Live will be like. Decent number of channels. Decent enough stability. Good quality resolution and frame rates around 70% of the time. If you've been using 88tv up until now, moving to Mars Live is most definitely two steps back as far as live Korean programming goes, but it's probably better than anything else that works right now.

lots channels to watch and they are HD!!
I owned some tv boxes, but this one is a winner of all! I could watch lots of channels, and more importantly, most of them were in HD quality! Some boxes I used before were said to have HD stuff but actually they were not. This one is REAL HD! Love it!

Not worth the price, seems it does not have its own servers.
This product does not seem it is a professional streaming product. It has to load a list every time you want to stream. Most of the time, it takes too long to load the list. Moreover, the most of the channels do not work well most of the time. Even cantonese channels like TVB do not work. Unlike other boxes, at least the TVB channels work. The WIFI connecgtion is also bad. You have to near the router to get a good connection. You do not connect if you have a wall between the router and the box.
