Decorum Reboot Mint Pomade, 4 Ounce

My husband has a hard time using Decorum’s medium hold mint pomade. Hair products are not new to him, so he knows enough to use them sparingly. A small amount of this white cream barely does anything, but when he adds just a tad more, his hair looks flat and lifeless. There doesn’t seem to be any middle ground, no matter how many times he’s tried. Neither of us notice any additional shine, although it is advertised as having a semi-gloss finish. While the pomade does have a nice mint fragrance, this one positive feature isn’t enough for him to get a second jar.

I'm not sure I like the idea of a mint scent on a hair product. It seems like it would compete with the other perfumeyness that is the body wash, deodorant, personal fragrance, shampoo, etc. But - my daughter loves this. She just got a pixy cut that she prefers to wear in a fauxhawk, and this pomade really floats her boat. It is quite thick, and easy to clump if you're not familiar with the way of working this type of product, so watch for lumps and gunks.

If you have hair that has some natural body and holds a style fairly well, this may work for you. The scent is nice, fresh without being overpowering unless you're sensitive to mint (which my neighbor is, so I never wear it around her if I think of it). My hair is lank and limp and this really doesn't do anything for it. Even when I apply so much that it makes my hair look greasy, it still doesn't help hold a style.

The hold was not what I wanted. It's a soft hold and I need a strong or firm hold on my hair. The scent was great, it washes off easily. The hold is the problem.

Smell great and easy to use.

Opened product and it was covered in mold. My son and husband are both VERY allergic to mold so this was immediately returned. Gross!

I have tried lots of hair gels, creams, sprays, and pomades over the years. Some I like and some not so much, but I really love this pomade. I don't know if it's supposed to be for men, but I love it on my girlie short hair. It holds just right without being too strong, and it smells so wonderfully of mint. I love the scent of mint - I have mint scented shampoo, soap, deodorant and now pomade! It's not a strong scent - just lightly smells of mint. It also gives my hair a nice sparkle....something good I did not expect. It doesn't take a lot - just a small dollop evenly distributed on the fingertips of both hands and lightly stroked through the hair. This is great for short hair.
