Stir Rods 8" (12 Count) (4-(Pack))

These were the least expensive glass stir rods I could find and I'm extremely happy with them. Both ends are polished and I use them to stir hot drinks. I have accidentally dropped them a few times onto a tile floor and they have not broken (yet) - which I was surprised at.

Overall, I like these! I love the curved ends with no sharp edges (unlike another pack of glass stirring rods I got on Amazon). I like the number of rods you get for the price. They're great!But today, while I was using one of the glass rods to stir a mass of sourdough starter in a jar, the rod snapped in half. Granted, the chunk of dough had dried out some and was stiff, but not stiff enough to snap the glass rod in half. I'll not be using glass rods to mess with sticky dough anymore, but be aware that these things appear to have their limits.

These were significantly better than other brands that claim to have rounded ends, but were not.These, at least when sold by Amazon , came with both ends of every rod a half-sphere like they are supposed to, and none of them were broken, no chips missing. They look great.Much happier with these rods, as the round ends make them great for mixing paint in rounded watercolor wells, and they are long enough that they can be used on the straight edge of a ruler when held next to a brush for painting in a straight line.

I bought these to stir essential oils into other things like melted beeswax, oils, shea butter, as I read people did that.The work fine for that and are easy to clean. I wish I could have got a smaller package, as I need only a few, but this was the smallest package I could find. I am careful to store them, and they have not broken or chipped.

These are actually 6mm in diameter. I measured them with digital calipers. Unfortunately the item listing's details says 5mm in diameter. They did not work for my project.

But them to mix skin care. We use them for our first workshop and Noone broke one. We were stirring and stirring in glass speakers. They were very sturdy

The good thing is that they all arrived intact and they seem to do what a glass rod does. Seems like the price is fair for the amount that you get

I ordered these for my wife's bath and body business to assist in the body lotion stirring process, and they are very useful for a variety of activities.

I love clean and crisp counter tops, and these fit the decor perfectly when I was trying to replace some foggy plastic stir sticks I picked up on discount years ago. These are sitting in a cute little crystal cup on my countertop coffee area for stirring and they feel so lovely to use. They are also quick to clean and beautifully transparent, even after multiple uses and some trips through the dishwasher.They seem like they'd be fragile but I haven't been careful with them and they've shown no signs of breaking, even in the dishwashers utensil tray.

Can't comment on a verified melting point - I don't use them for very many intensive applications, but for the purposes I use them for they are more than adequate.Consistent diameter across the entire rod, and clean consistent rod ends, with all rods being identical in length.Good quality for the price.

I bought these "glass rods" to use in my soap making projects, to create swirls within the soap batter when I've poured them into their molds. They worked out perfect! Could have perhaps been a few inches longer but, all in all, I am very satisfied with my purchase of them!

Arrived intact but had a CA PROP arsenic warning label so I opted to return it since I had bought it for kitchen use.
