I purchased this for my 2005 Ford Taurus 4-door sedan. Since there's usually just me in the car, I decided to keep it in the front passenger seat within easy reach. The Velcro strap is short, so I raised the headrest slightly and put it around the headrest bars. This raised the bag off the seat, leaving room for my purse, briefcase, or the occasional dog if the weather permits my letting one of ours ride with me. One of the photos shows the distance between the bottom of the bag and our dachshund who is testing a car restraint. As you can see, there's plenty of room below and around the bag for a smallish dog to ride comfortably. If I have a passenger, it's easy to just peel the Velcro apart and reattach the bag to the rear of the headrest bars. The size of the bag is perfect for my needs as I wanted something small and sturdy that won't tip over or take up a lot of space. Just a quick undo of the Velcro, empty it into a trash container, and reattach it, making it easy to keep a reasonably clean car. There are two mesh pockets, one on each side, and I'm using those to keep a water bottle on one side and hand sanitizer on the other. As far as the closure, it is stiff, but I expect that to loosen up with time and use. However, I am keeping it open for convenience. If I do have to put something messy or smelly in it while driving, I can snap it closed, and the bag will be easy to just hose down later. I'm ordering one for my husband's pickup truck now as he is.....er, ummmm, ahhhh.....well, yes, he's a truck floor litterbug. UPDATE: I'm adding some photos of the trash bag in the passenger side of my husband's pickup truck. Although the Velcro straps are long enough to reach around the back, they actually attached themselves to the fabric of the seat back and hold the bag securely in place, as you can see in the new photos. You would think that the auto manufacturers would realize that people actually have garbage that they need to get rid of in the car. Instead of all of those bottle cups, give me a litter bin!

Not good at all.
Very shoddy. The "mouth" is so stiff that i can't get it to shut well enough for the pathetic velcro to hold it closed. So every passenger (i drive for Lyft and Uber, so that is about 100 passengers a month!) snags their legs\purses\backpacks... on it as they enter and exit. Badly made, for the most part. Until i find another solution i am making do with it, but i cannot recommend it at all!

... our Subaru Forester that has NO space for a garbage bin in the front seat area
Got this for our Subaru Forester that has NO space for a garbage bin in the front seat area. This was just what we needed in that particular car. Works well and is easy to put on and remove. Smart solution to a common problem.

Great but small
This is a neat little can. It velcro snaps behind your headrest and is waterproof. My only gripe is that it is too small. I have to empty it about once a week.

I like a neat
I like a neat, clean car and am always struggling the perfect way to deal with the receipts, empty water bottles, and other trash that accumulates on even a short trip. This car trash bag has been a perfect solution. It is well made, vinyl on the inside, and doesn't take up too much room. It is "collapsible", which allows you to close it against the back of the seat when not filled. I highly recommend this product.

I like it. I put it behind the passenger seat. Everytime I reach to put trash in it, it falls off. The velcro is not real strong.

I liked this it is big enough to hold a decent amount of trash, but is narrow enough not to get in way
