Fortress 10' x 10' x 35' Baseball Batting Cage Nets - #42 Heavy-Duty Net for Practice

I purchased this for my backyard batting cage and it's works great. Very sturdy construction and the guage of thread is very similar to the commercial batting cages we visit. I draped it over tube steel normally used for swap meet vendors. Standard size tubing is 10', so I built a 10'x10'x30' frame and simply hung it over it. The extra 5' I folded over itself and created an opening by cutting a vertical cut in the netting for access. There is no access with this netting like other brands, so you have to lift it up to get into the net. I would recommend this netting to anyone out there. Total batting cage cost with netting and tubes, $550. Also, I purchased black rubber mats and spray painted a batter box and pitching aid that I hung to the outside of cage. My kids can thank me later when they make the MLB. I can dream, right!

I hung the net in my basement so my son could hit all winter. I have a 16' x 35' area in the basement where the net fit perfectly. I've had it up about two weeks and it's already gotten a lot of use. There is enough room to do front flips or some short arm BP from about 20' away. Overall, very pleased with the product.

Net World Sports does not stand by the quality of their product. Would not recommend. Two of their Ultimate Poles bent because of mild snowfall and they won't replace them and instead want to charge me for replacements, stating they "recommend taking down in less than ideal weather conditions." This was not stated anywhere on their instructions.

Then net is great. I purchased eight 12 foot 4x4s and secured them to the ground. Then simply attached the net to the poles. I set up a pitching machine and now my boys enjoy hours of batting practice in our backyard. BTW we are the only family that has one so imagine the look on the faces of all the neighborhood kids when they see it!!

This is the second review. I left a previous negative review due to the first net breaking in many, many spots. It was used indoors and began getting balls hit through the net almost immediately. I contacted customer service, and after the second contact with them they agreed to not only replace the net, but provide us with a heavier duty net. The second net is of thicker material and so far is holding up well. Thanks Net World.

Great net, but I noticed that a few of the string squares were broken and tied back together (seller or factory?) so it's not brand new in the sense that you would consider brand new to have 0 defects.

Net sags too much between posts. Had to make a PVC lift frame to hold the net up high enough for me to throw. And no I'm not 6'-10", The clips to hold the guide wires broke off the post on half of the poles on first set up. Luckily I had S hooks to hook over the end of the posts and hooked to the guide wires.
