Good so far
The main armature bearing was going bad in my DWS779 mitre saw. I bought a cheap bearing puller to replace the bearing but the tool broke and damaged the belt pulley. DeWalt service center wanted $270 to replace the one armature bearing. I bought this complete armature assembly for $170 and after the 15 minutes it took to replace, my saw sounds brand new again.

DeWalt DWS780 Armature
The N143958 DeWalt armature is advertised to fit a DeWalt DWS780 miter saw. It does not. The advertised armature is 1/2" longer than the armature I removed from my DWS780 miter saw. It is too long for my motor housing.The bearings, communicator and armature stack fit the cavits within the housing, but the overall length of the unit prohibited assembly. See pictures.
