GIANDEL 2000W Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter DC 12V to AC 240V Compatible with Lithium Battery for RVs Off-Grid Solar System Boat Camper UKCA Approved with Remote Controller LED Display

I have had this a week now and been putting it through its paces. I got the 24 volt 2kw variant to cover my shed power demands and its great so far. I tested it at idle and it draws just over half an amp and on 150 watt inductive loads, it pulled 17.5 amps at startup and tapered off to just over 7 amps running with a load. I also have run a 2 KW fan heater with a motor and it fired straight up no need for the soft start option which is achieved by switching the load on first and then powering up the inverter.. The load limit is 2.4kw absolute limit according to the pamphlet and I have taken it to 2204 watts for 2 seconds without it shutting down although that load was basically just resistive and you should not ask it to run 2kw constantly as the fans are far from silent. I will be fusing it for 1650 watts as I will never need any more than that and if you calculate your loading correctly, you should never need the max output continously anyway if you did your homework.I intend to go through testing and find the 90% efficiency point as it states. The cables that came with it were manly enough for the job for short durations, but I have paralleled the supplied cables with same size and length custom made cables so the cable will never get warm or cause excessive volt drop when fully loaded up.I will report back with more info once the trials are over in the summer but the last thing I noticed was that when on a load of over 1kw the fans kick in and it blows air from the socket end to the dc input direction (vigorously I might add) if you needed to know for mounting purposes.So far it does what I need it for and that is running a bench grinder (300 watts), a mitre saw (1700 watts), various battery chargers for drills and as well as a 2kw heater (not all at once obviously). The trigger of the mitre allows for a staggered low speed start as the inverter does not like the 0 to flat out in one go. Chops 4 inch fence posts no hassle as long as your not in a rush and pulling the blade down excessively. The display toggles between input voltage and load in watts, which alternates to kilowatts once your over 1kw. If you need to go over a kilowatt regularly as a rule of thumb you should go for the 24 volt system as it's half the current of a 12 volt setup so the cables and switchgear are less heavy duty as well as it is less demand on your batteries. 2000 watts is just about 84 amps on the 24 volt setup and you double that on 12 volts and also you get a more efficient setup as volt drop on the 24 volt system has half the effect as opposed the the 12 volt arrangement if cable runs are over a foot or so.Still testing but it's looking like I backed the right horse at the price I paid :)After 6 months use the inverter is still working well and during the summer I had an air conditioning unit running off the unit and it never skipped a beat. The AC unit I brought is only 5000btu but thats enough for my shed to stay at 16 degrees for long periods without taxing the inverter. The internal fans on the inverter never fired up once and the case of the inverter only got upto 35 degrees!This little inverter has done itself proud and has been willing the whole time.I noticed that as you get closer to the low voltage cut off, you have to do soft starting more often on larger inductive loads and if it does get beyond that point the warning tone accompanied with "LO" on the display comes in just before the unit shuts down and you have to press the power button to switch it off and then back on before it continues when the battery bank is charging so it does not automatically restart ( good to prevent deep discharging of the battery bank )I found the peak surge is more like 2900 watts (about 3/4 second before auto overload cutout) before you get no usable surge time and that was with 4 x 80Ah leisure batteries in a 24 volt arrangement so the 4 kw surge mentioned would be such a short duration that its not worth counting on.All in all, I got a good enough inverter for the price I paid and I do not feel that I wasted my money but do your homework, double your battery bank capacity once you have done the maths and fuse it accordingly so you never overload it before it trips as these things are not very forgiving if you do overload it and have too big a margin before the external fuse pops (that you really must have)Finally got around to finding out where the max efficiency of 90% was and its 1622 watts on the 24 volt 2KW variant and was at the least efficient at 691 watts and that was 78% ...the max efficient rating was including the fans running and that test was run for 45 minutes and it was fine doing that, so fusing it for 1680 was on par with the thermal curve... It is critical you get a quick disconnect (isolator) and a decent fuse and circuit breaker setup because should this go wrong, you can cook your batteries and whole setup in moments if your not paying attention... I did open her up after the warranty expired and checked all the caps and also beefed it up a bit with better mosfets and bigger power caps to increase peak surge capability but stay away from doing this unless you are qualified or have a good grasp on inverters and mains voltages !!!!!!Would I buy this again? Yep! I also went the whole hog and get an equivalent low frequency inverter (The bulky types with the big transformer inside) for the same price and I could only find a 1500 watt continuous 24 volt variant for the same price that was worthy of the task, so this version of the inverter for the price and the durability was a deal and still is boys and girlsHad this a few years now running the off grid shed and it has only once had a hiccup and it turned out to be the battery bank and not the inverter, so it's proved itself as capable, reliable and invaluable.... I did upgrade the components once it was out of the warrant period and that gave me a bigger surge tolerance for the mitre saw, but out the box, it has always delivered and I am most impressed with this purchase.....

I am a retired Senior Electronics Engineer who has spent a career in microchip design and the Space and Defence sector. I have in fact designed and built my own inverters in the past but this time, after thoroughly reviewing the market, I decided to purchase the above Giandel unit as it was both cheaper and easier to purchase it than to design and build my own. It is used to power a number of diverse aspects of our house from a LiFePo4 battery that’s charged from solar panels.Before purchasing this inverter and throughout the first 6 months of use I dealt with Elsa in the Giandel USA Customer Support Department. All my pre purchase questions were comprehensively addressed both competently and expediently and I could not have wished for a better after sales support service.I have been very impressed with the inverter too as it easily handled very demanding loads during the very hot (40C) British summer. The case warmed up but was never too hot to touch and its internal cooling fans turned on periodically to keep things running well. It is a ‘pure sine wave inverter’ that has a good clean sine wave output essential for driving most modern electronic loads such as computers and TV’s etc, which it handles very well. It’s also been running all our LED house lights & an external LED floodlight as well as fridge, freezer, DVD equipment, chargers, switched mode power supplies, electric garage door motor, dehydrator, garden illumination and fountain pump.However when I connected an air conditioning unit along with several other inductive loads my unit failed. I was initially surprised by this as the loads were within its 2,000W rating. However there were several inductive loads connected together which are certainly a major challenge for any inverter and so can be an issue. Inductive loads can effectively almost short out the supply at switch on, giving rise to very large power surges. I contacted Giandel Customer Support who asked me for a verification video showing the issue. I was truly astonished that within just 2 days Giandel had a replacement unit with me.Despite the issue I had and being aware of the very demanding load I placed on the unit, I believe both the product and the Giandel Customer Support team thoroughly merit a five star review. I consistently spend many thousands of pounds annually on electronic equipment and I have never experienced such first class customer support from any company. And so Giandel receive my highest commendation and I would recommend their product unconditionally.However nothing is 100% perfect and so I also list a number of very minor issues as customer feedback that Giandel might like to consider addressing on future models although none of these would prevent me purchasing this unit.The inverter is supplied with a comprehensive set of associated hardware (eg heavy duty battery cables, battery level monitor with associated cable, earth cable etc) all of which is excellent. However there are no plastic protective covers to fit over the 12V battery terminals which would be a helpful improvement. Otherwise a bit of PVC tape works well.There is a very useful display on the front of the inverter but with the inverter wall mounted, it’s not easy to read from above although at eye level its fine. So try not to mount this inverter too low down if you need to easily read the display.The remote battery level display supplied is a very useful feature, but I notice the new 1,000W version of this inverter comes with an improved remote display containing an excellent amount of helpful information such as power consumption and battery voltage etc. It would be a major improvement if this inverter came with this new remote monitor.In conclusion, I hope my balanced review is helpful to both Giandel as well as prospective clients. The PS2000-PBR Inverter is an excellent product that I’ve comprehensively tested in real life over 6 months. It works extremely well under very demanding conditions and is backed by truly legendary customer support. As with anything, minor improvements are always possible but this product thoroughly deserves nothing less than a five star review.The pictures show my inverter in operation 24/7 and the beautifully clean sine wave the inverter delivers under load on one of my laboratory oscilloscopes.

I took a bit of a punt with this inverter in 2020, not having heard of the make before. It has since then run flawlessly, doing everything asked of it. In the event where it's been overloaded, it simply restarts itself.Since it's a pure sine wave it runs literally anything from a hair dryer, induction hob, air fryer, immersion heater, hoover , you name it it'll run it.A great piece of kit.

Just a shame it has no where to wire from to connect to a consumer unit. I had to wire mine from a 13amp 3 pin plug. Lol

Works well in the motorhome, runs a coffee machine, Airfryer slow cooker ,kettles etc

2 inverters in less than 2 years. I was offered another replacement from Giandel through email there support team and advised I’d receive tracking via email. But now after email I’ve had nothing and there ignoring my emails. Faulty inverters with serious issues/ problems. Not good and neither is the latest customer service from Elsa

The media could not be loaded. 5 STARS FOR DANGER FACTOR.The inverter was fitted using the suppliedcables....The initial switch on was fine and checked it with an iron under 2000w, all worked fine.Then tried a 3000w water heater, it was on and heating the water fine, right up until the cables melted!!!!So inverter 👌Supplied cables 👎👎 DANGEROUS!!!Luckily it was a fresh install and caught it in time before the batteries blew.DO NOT USE THE CABLES.NOT SAFE TO USE THIS ITEM AS ADVERTISED.....AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICES OFFERED ME A £20 AMAZON VOUCHER AS A PARTIAL REFUND 🤡🤡🤡😡😡😡The ultimate insult for an item that is not fit for purpose, and will set someone's van on fire...I now have to source some more cables and supply/fit them for my customer 🤬Amazon, NOT IMPRESSED.

Unit Purchased= 4000 watt. Usage for RV/ 5th wheel travel power.Received thru Amazon two days after purchase in good shape but missing remoteReceived missing remote three days after customer support contacted me.Pros:Works as rated. My plans are to use it for my 5th wheel travel power. I got the unit and tested it to see if it would handle the load before installing in my 5th wheel. I put it on four 300amp AGM lifetime batteries using two strands of 4/0 wire for both pos/neg(the four 8 gauge wires provided were too short and did heat up on heavy usage).. Tested with two 1500 watt heaters for 3200 watt load and worked great for about two hours before it took the batteries down to half load and below 10 volts so auto shut off. Recharged batteries and then did second test by adding one more 1500 watt heater (3x) and still work. Went into overload of 6200 watts on startup and then down to 4200 watts and still worked great until the batteries were discharged below 10 volts then auto shut off.The unit does suck power, but provides the power needed. I then tested it on an RV refrigerator and a microwave. No unusual sounds or issues and provided the needed power. I have not tested the pure sine wave power yet but using it on motors and heaters has not been an issue.The unit is good sized (generally=length about the size of average mans chest and half the width so it is rather big, but can easily be installed inside a 5th wheel front storage compartment.The remote switch works great.Con which turned into a pro: My unit originally came with NO REMOTE. The company actually contacted me thru Amazon e-mail and asked if I got the unit and how it was working. I advised Elsa (Customer Support) that I got NO REMOTE and she sent me one three days later. Excellent customer support. Unit works as advertised and excellent customer support.Update - (02/10/2019) - I have not installed it in my RV yet but as an electrician, I tested it for pure sine wave power and it meets specs. I've had no issues for powering my computers and sensitive electronic components. However, this unit will pull over 600amps (12 volt) on full power usage so I would highly recommend users greatly upgraded their wiring and also use multiple stands of heavy gauge wire. I elected to use 4/0 wire and used three strands as I had extra wire left over from another solar project (two strands 4/0 works fine too). The larger the wire, the better and the more strands, the better. This unit will pull lots of amps.

Hi purchased August 2023. Worked Great Heavy duty 4000 Watt Giandel inverter ! Can run almost any electrical tool in my detached pole Garage. Seems heavy duty and provides up to 33 amps on the direct wire connection. Which I have hard wired to several 20 amp outlets in garage through a breaker controlpanel. Yes with grounding rod to panel and of course grounding inverter to case.Unfortunately Inverter had a short in a circuit board about 2 weeks ago . Contacted Giandel customer service. They were Great had me send some photos. Said dont worry warrantied for 18 months. 1 week later sent new replacement unit . I was very impressed. Installed replacement unit and working great again ! Really impressed with their service. They really did stand behind their product !!

I purchased the 4000QAR pure sine wave inverter and installed in our travel trailer, along with a large lithium battery bank, to power it while RVing off-grid! It worked great, but stopped working for unknown reasons, shortly after the warranty expired (18 mth warranty). After working with Elsa in customer service and checking a few things, she decided to replace the unit under warranty. The 4000QAR was out of stock, so after waiting a week or so, she graciously shipped the 4000QBR pure sine wave inverter to me, which is an upgraded unit (and 36 mth warranty). This unit was slightly larger, but still fit my application and worked perfectly after installation. I have owned other Giandel products in the past and they have been very reliable! I would purchase again!

Works for what I bought it for. The main reason for buying this inverter was to use my Ninja WoodFire ProConnect grill at the outdoor kitchen area. My previous 2500 Watt inverter by another company struggled with the high amperage, whereas, the GIANDEL 4000 had absolutely no problem with the amperage. (See Photo) I wired the outlet of the grill to GIANDEL heavy duty outlet for draws above 1500 watts.Now, the 21mm sq. cables that came with it, are grossly undersized for my needs. I replaced the cables with 2/0 cables to the lynx distributor and then to my 280ah battery with a Fuse Block Terminal.The GIANDEL runs silently on low amperage draws, but even with the fan on higher draws, is still very quiet compared to my old 2500 watt inverter.The remote will be mounted by my outdoor power outlet for easy operation. A good omen for me that it started up quietly with the remote without any issues.Overall, I would recommend this unit on a 12V system, but make or buy your own 2/0+ cables
