Q: Has anyone tried this with short hair?

I have long hair but I am assuming it depends on how short your hair is and whether or not you want the black adjustable band to show or not. The band is slightly bluncky where the braid meets the elastic, so it is a little difficult to hide in that particular area without hair at least to your ears. I hope this helps. I get alot of compliments on mine!

Q: does this look bad with hair up bc the band will show? Does it work around a bun?

I have never tried it around a bun, but I bet it would look amazing! I have wore it when I wore my hair up though, I just selection enough hair down to hide the band & bulk where the braid meets. It is a little difficult but once you get use to it, it's like second nature. I dont pin the braid in place because having my hair up pretty much holds it in the same spot but I am sure it makes it much easier starting out!

Q: I have light blonde hair, kind of a white ashy blonde. Would the platinum be too yellow or would the ashy highlighted one work best?
