Shinsaku Anime: Space Battleship Yamato 2199 Original Soundtrack

Space Battleship Yamato, and its iconic musical themes, have been legendary in the anime world since the late 1970s. This updated version of the classic series contains all of that classic music, updated for the 21st century, and new complimentary music as well. This album contains music from the first 8 episodes and is a great sample of the music from the series - though true fans with the cash will want all three discs. It is wonderful and will delight fans of Yamato, and of any epic space opera, for years to come. If you remember "Star Blazers" (the American-ized version of the show) these discs will bring back all of those great memories and help build a few new, good ones. Get the series, too. It is amazing, even though the subtitles aren't perfect.

I enjoyed the original (monophonic) soundtrack and this beautiful stereo rendering is a treat for the ears.

Item had a slight shipping issue, but, Brand new, no defects. The music is as I always loved.

i bought this to hear what the new updated music that i remember from the original version which i have. To say i was impressed if u loved the original music get this to hear the updated version u won't disapointed

Why do you CD worked on my computer, it would not work on my car. I also noticed there were quite a lot of scratches on the CD.

An awesome buy for any fan of Space Battleship Yamato. It's really great how they kept true to the themes and feel of the original 1970's series soundtrack.

I purchased the full sound track in order to get the "Song of the Space Pilots". It was there, along with a KARAOKE version!

2199の劇伴の曲に好きなものが多かったので、音質に関する低評価のレビューが気になりつつもとにかく聴きたいので買いましたが、これはたしかに3000円ほどする製品とは思えない出来でした。私はオーディオマニアではないし聴ければ細かい事は気にならない方なのですが、それでもこのCDの楽曲は昔ラジカセでカセットテープに録音していた頃、入力がオーバーレベルなのを自動レベル調整機能でむりやり抑え込まれて録音されたような、音圧ばかり高くてダイナミックレンジの広がりに欠ける曲が多くなってしまっています。ヘッドホン、イヤホンで聴くととても耳障りな鳴りかたをするのでコロンビアから出ているETERNAL EDITION Fileなどの旧作BGM集と比べるとハッキリと分かります。マスタリング過程でのミスならぜひやり直して再販してもらいたいものです。曲自体は素敵なものが多いので、このままでは非常にもったいないと思います。

私は旧作からの宇宙戦艦ヤマトファンですが、今回の新曲も違和感なく楽しめるとてもいい楽曲揃いです。親子とはいえ、故宮川泰氏から受け継いだ彬良氏のすばらしい手腕が見て取れます。但し他の方々が申しておられる通り、どうしたことか音が割れてしまっており、非常に聞きづらいものであることは間違いありません。本当に大手老舗メーカーの市販品とは思えないほどのレベルです。曲が非常にいいものなのに残念でなりません。それにしてもかつてKlaus Doldinger氏の手がけた「Das Boot」のサントラ盤とは全く別物であることは分かっているはずなのですが、全体的になぜかとてもよく似ていているような気がするのは私だけでしょうか。コンサートでも「わかれ ～ わかれ－出航－（メドレー）」まで演奏されているようで、「果たしてこれは偶然なのか・・・」。

15曲目の「哀しみのヤマト」。9曲目の「哀しみのヤマト」のオーボエのみver.だと思われる。ただの誤植だと思うけど・・・。まあ、それだけならいいのですが実は、サウンドトラックPart.3の26曲目に「哀しみのヤマト (オーボエのみ)」が収録されている。これ同じ曲でしょう。ちゃんとチェックして製品化して欲しいものです。35. 探索機「探索艇」だろう。

ガミラス国歌が聴きたくて購入。劇中の情景が浮かぶ、素晴らしい曲ばかりです。音質、ぜんぜん問題ないかな。私レベルには。

旧作ファンも新作ファンも感涙の一枚。聞いていてヤマトのシーンが脳裏によみがえります。
