What drew me to this pot is the flat bottom. We don't have a gas oven to set a rounded Jebena on so this seemed right for out glass-top oven. I started off with the seasoning recommended by the seller and set the pot on the smallest element on our stove and turned it on high. All went well. After seasoning I made a pot of our favorite Ethiopian coffee using Ethiopian Sidamo coffee ground course, some stick cinnamon and some black cardamom pods. The coffee tasted wonderful! And just like what we get at our favorite Ethiopian restaurant. I am happy with my purchase. That is the pro.Con: I wish the neck was longer like it is on some clay Jebenas. The shorter neck causes coffee to drip while pouring so use a towel under the spout while you pour. Not a deal breaker but I thought I'd mention it.
