I purchased this from a recommendation at school for a painting class. I purchased the 12in but because we are using a 22 color palette I probably should have gotten the larger size. It works great but you need to keep it level to keep the oil paints from running together. I found out the hard way ;-) . It is air tight and comes with clove oil to keep the paints from drying out. I left mine out of the freezer for two weeks and the oil paint was still usable. It definitely works as advertised.

It works good. I use it often. Soak the ends good with the oil. I've left my oil paint in the palette garage up to a week. The only thing is that sometimes a light skin will form. But otherwise the paint isn't dried out.

I had been lugging my Masterson’s palette with me to class en plain air and really struggling to keep my Watersoluable oils moist between painting sessions. Enter the paint garage and suddenly what worked so-so with just a sealable palette is 1000% better. My piles of wet paint seem to last much longer than they did and the tube fits better in the freezer between sessions. I mix what I need, save big piles of custom mixes for later and dump the used paper palette when I am done for the day. Loving it.
