I’ve been searching for a long time for a cleansing balm I can trust on my skin, focused on natural ingredients and also the added benefit of supporting local businesses and I found it! This cleanser is super effective and yet gentle on my skin. I previously had oily skin but as I’ve aged it’s now mixed with me being prone to dry patches and occasional Oli so I often struggle with balance. This product provides that balance, made from natural ingredients, smelling and feeling luxuriously rich but not heavy and leaves my skin feeling moistures and soft. Coupled with great customer care and a local upcoming company, I couldn’t recommend highly enough - 5 stars indeed

I wasn't too sure about this when I first used it. I had developed dry patches on the top of my cheeks that were also red and didn't look great (I'm 46 and my skin seems to be changing). I'd tried a few products but nothing seemed to help. Anyway, I'm trying to buy more natural products and so gave this a try. At first, it seemed to make my cheeks worse and I was thinking I'd wasted my money but I continued using it and after literally only a couple of days my cheeks looked amazing! The dryness has gone, the redness has gone and my skin is so lovely and soft.I have quite oily skin and this feels a little thick and too moisturising for the oily parts so I don't use this on my t-zone. Any dry patches that appear are magically erased with a tiny bit of this product - it really will last a long time so is actually great value for money.I love the little jar that's it's in, the fact it feels like it's been made with a lot of care and love that it's not full of all sorts of ingredients that I'd rather not have sinking into my skin.It smells lovely, not too strong and perfumey which my skin is never happy with.So, after a wobbly start and really wondering if I'd just bought something else that wasn't going to help hydrate my combination skin, I can happily report that this stuff is wonderful and eventually I will buy again but you really don't need much for it to work its magic!I'll definitely be checking out other products from this range.

I couldn't be happier with this product!I am 41 and have very sensitive skin which is dry and prone to break outs, with very red cheeks. I had been using Neal's Yard frankincense serum and face cream, but it wasn't quite right for me and I didn't feel it was worth the money.Since I started using Ilex Wood around a week ago, my skin has been soft and supple, less red and less prone to break outs. I have started to notice that my face is less red too. I had a couple of lines appearing on my forehead and I do feel that they are less prominent now.The serum goes on very easily and I usually leave it for five minutes or so (whist I get dressed etc.) before applying the cream. The cream has more of a buttery / balmy texture and does feel quite oily initially. However, it soaks into my skin nicely and has proven to be a good base for make-up when I bother to wear any. A couple of times I have felt that the cream left my face a bit shinier than I desired, but after a few minutes I dabbed my face with tissue to remove the residue and my skin looked great all day. A little goes a long way with both products, so I can see them lasting well.Almost forgot - the smell is divine and I accidentally discovered that any oil residue on my hands after using the cream makes a great job of the ends of my hair too!

Absolutely gorgeous product. Moisturises and leaves skin soft and glowing. I also love the scent and I even think it's erasing those little lines.

The serum is lovely and light and smells beautiful but it's a facial oil. It sinks in and moisturises well. The face cream is more of a set oil balm. It's nice to use but it has a slight strange smell when I apply it that I don't like. The smell fades quickly and leaves a frankincense scent on the skin that's quite strong. I prefer the serum but I was looking for a lighter serum and cream combo to wear together and these are two oils that are very heavy when combined and my skin can be quite dry. I'm going to use the cream as a make up remover with a face cloth and a night cream and the serum as a day moisturiser under a light cream. The products are nice, natural and a good price for the quality. Just not quite what I was expecting.

I love this anti aging face cream. I am always looking for natural products that won't completely destroy the health or myself and my family. I found this cream and decided to take the plunge and order it. It makes my skin feel so soft and it smells like I'm in a spa. I have noticed fine lines become less noticeable due to the moisturising properties. It heats on the skin and fingers and can feel a tad oily at first. That doesnt last long as the mixture quickly absorbs leaving the skin feeling dewy and supple. I don't know how I coped without this cream and can honestly say I love it and won't be wearing anything else.

Good quality, smell incredible good, skin looks moist soft, healthy, not heavy at all, easy use, very happy with product and definitely recommend , I would buy again

Absolutely adore this Rose and Frankincense face cream by Ilex Wood- thank you for creating it. I keep buying it as it is so wonderful for my skin in menopause as it has become drier and I will continue to buy it. I love that it is made from all natural and beautiful ingredients. I put extra on at night to allow it to sink in and do it's work as can take a little while to go in and a bit less in the morning. It really helps stop any dryness and reduces fine lines making the skin look plumper and fresher; is also good as a hand moisturiser. Really recommend.
