I love the material this is made of as it's soft and flowing and has a great thickness to it. The appearance is elegant without crossing into beiing Gothic. The fit is great and makes me feel pretty! The only thing I have an issue with is that the ribbons tend to untie themselves easily unless you double bow it.

super duper soft and really flowy. the front tie has trouble staying when being washed, but it's not too bad to put back in. over all super cute and comfy to wear

It is very cute and dressy. Very nice quality but I actually wish I bought one size down. I've put on weight and am already a DD prior to that. I normally wear XL shirts to fit my chest and be loose enough to not cling to chunky areas. This is cut right below the breast and has that seem all the way around and ties in the back. It is loose enough that when I tied it that it made that line hang down weird in the back about an inch lower than where it ties. It's loose enough to size down a size and still hide unflattering areas. I am never one to size down because I like my clothes looser in my back and tummy area but I highly recommend going one size down unless you have a very large amount of back fat to hide. This is a beautiful shirt and well worth the money. It's very flattering to the figure. Just something to consider when buying. I think if the part that ties was a wider string you wouldn't run into that and may solve my own problem by sewing on a different one.

i usually wear anywhere from 18/22, i ordered a 3x. Love it. Fits great. Can't wait to wear it. i got one in white. very pretty. it is unique and manages to cover my tummy nicely. would definitely buy again in another color.I do quite a bit of my shopping online, particularly at Amazon, so like you I depend on reviews to be honest so I can make an informed decision. I have three of these shirts and absolutely love them. The colors are right on target and they look like the pictures, which isn't always the case when buying clothes online. Because of my build, it's difficult to find shirts that I like, but I've found that empire-waisted shirts work if they're cut right and don't make the bust part too short. The only reason I put that it was "someone small" is because normally, I wear a 2x / 22 but with this shirt, I had to get a 3x. Fortunately, the sizes were explained well enough that I ordered the 3x first and it fits perfectly. I'll definitely be getting more clothes from Dare to Wear.

Flattering cut and sized well, but disappointing quality. You cannot adjust the front lacing as the description implies. Yes, you can tighten the strings, but then you have ugly gaping from the inset panel that is not adjustable. I had the strings loosened and the panel still did not lay properly. It just looked cheap and this was not a cheap top.
