ReFashioned: Cutting-Edge Clothing from Upcycled Materials

I give this book 4 stars because it’s gorgeous and really highlighted a few talented artists. But I should have heeded the reviews. It is a coffee table book. I garnered perhaps three ideas that were feasible and actually wearable. So for that I give it 2⭐️‘s.

Everything in this book was okay. You can also easily find the content online. The only benefit is it being a coffee table book for guests to look through. Other than that I wasn't really inspired with the content which is a bummer since I am passionate about upcycled fashion.

Sass Brown has taken an environmentally-conscious theme and found many fashion designers who celebrate it and even take it over the edge. Her concise descriptions of each designer's work are incisive, and the photographs are beautiful. I recommend it to anyone who sees clothing and accessories as more than just materials to cover the body, but as a true art form.

Sass Brown has just touched on the possibilities of refashioning clothing! Great photography and Art but so much further this can go! There is so many materials out there and so many peolpe who should use what we have on hand rather than pollute our mother earth! I recommend this book!

I got nothing from this book. I was so disapointed. It is a fashion coffee table book. To be fair, the title does say, "Cutting-Edge Clothing..." The clothes in this book exactly that and are not wearable. If you did want to make something from this book, you had better know how to sew. There are no specific instructions on how to create a single look in the book. If you just want to look/learn about how some high-end fashion designers are trying to be more environmentally conscious, maybe you would enjoy parts of this book. I am a book lover and a sewer of average ability. This book was a disappointment.

ReFashioned delivers strong knowledge and inspiration to readers, informing them that there are incredible ways to create artful design with a meaning beyond fashion that also showcases individual purpose. It is inspiring to learn about the wide range of passionate artists who step outside of the box to create clothing with a true conscience.

If you're looking for how to instructions or refashions to copy exactly, this isn't the book for you. But if you're looking to inspire your creative juices this book is great. Just borrowing a few small portions of these ideas makes it a worthwhile investment.

Excellent!! Lots of recycled/repurposed fashion way far on the art end of the art/craft spectrum! A very cool recycled package itself. I appreciate a book like this when filled with ideas, whether useable or far out- very impressive!!

This book has an up to date report on contemporary, Eco fashion Designers, with plenty of pictures to inspire.I have enjoyed looking up most of the Designers' web sites. There are plenty of links at the back of the book if You would like to research further. The Designers are mostly Western, Uk and States with several in Scandinavia plus more. I like the layout and Sass Brown has written this book in an interesting way. Only thing lacking ( small point) is extensive information about each Designer, although as I said I was inspired enough to find out more. I will certainly look out for more from Sass Brown

Wonderfully presented stuff. A gorgeous book, bound beautifully in keeping with the out of the ordinary content. A must have for anyone interested in eco-fshion of the most stylish kind.

Love this book!, they are many companies listed with their products and their processes, very inspiring and left me with a bit more optimistic about the future of fashion and refashion.
