Unit appears to be working properly.NOTE: Product has conflicting instructions concerning wiring for automatic vs manual function. The box says brown wire is for auto function. WRONG! The written instructions inside the box say the brown-white wire is for auto. CORRECT. You better test yours before finishing your wiring.Update: This bilge has worked flawlessly for 15 months. My boat stays on my pond 365 days a year, no roof, no cover. I have tried MANY, and this has been the most reliable internal float switch I have tried.

Water flow...great!Easy set up...great!Price...great!Reliability...not so great.I love this pump but it stopped working in the last rain and now my boat is a bowl of water. I look forward to upgrading this review after I see how well the warranty works...UPDATE:. I have to say the customer service is excellent! They kept in touch with me and today I received a new pump! The boat's tucked away for winter so it will be several months before I see the pump in action, but so far this has been a great purchase!

stopped working after about a month. It's not the float switch as I tried the manual direct wire. Unfortunately I didn't catch the 30 day return policy but the product says there's a 4 warranty through SeaFlo. I just emailed them how to proceed with this Warranty and will update this review if I ever hear from them.UPDATE! They sent me a new pump! I tested it briefly. Real test is in the spring. Thank you SEAFLO ! updating to 5 stars.

easy install no manual knob on side of pump

So far much happier with the different build and reliable operation of this pump than so many of the others that are all built the same. This one has worked with no issues from the start. In the application we are using it, it runs for extended periods daily and has had no issues moving a lot of water fast thru at least 15ft pipe and 2ft lift.

I used this pump to drain off my back courtyard that floods in heavy rains. It tested great when installed, but after a dry Spring it failed to automatically run. The pump was wired to switch on automatically. When it quit I confirmed the 12 volts, but got nothing out of the float switch. When I tried to test it on "manual on" setting, it popped the breaker.

If you just hook it up to battery so it is always ready to work but don't hook it to a toggle on your console, the is no way to test it. Most models have a plastic piece on unit that turns to pull the float up as a test to see if it kicks on. This does not. Would have to disconnect top from base and flip unit upside down. Way more hassle than it should require. I choose not to put it on a 3-way switch because I have accidentally turned it off and had it rain where I did not realize it was in the off position. It's an automatic bailer for gosh sakes. Why would you turn the power off to disable it? It doesn't run unless needed.

If you absolutely have to rely on a pump don''t buy this. They are cheap and will not hold up. If you keep your boat in the water ans this is your primary you are talking a big chance. My second one just quit and its the motor not the switch. I keep my little boat in the water and use this to keep the rain water out. Only pumped fresh rainwater out and it quit in a few months. American branded Chinese junk.
