I was skeptical about purchasing this book, there were not many reviews. But I love it! It's definitely a quality book, very nice glossy pages, well made cover.Not only does this book have all the conforts of a regular bird book(species, environment, physical description)it has super fun stuff I have never had in any other bird book:-interesting facts-myths & folklore-omens/divinity meaningIt won't have every bird. For example I wanted to look up the divinity of a pheasant but it didn't have it, so you have to go by what bird it's closest related to or the color of the bird. As instructed in the book. I with there was a little more information on what to do/how to look up, in cases like that. That's the only thing I wish the book was more in depth on. Other than that, I love this book, I definitely enjoy haveing it in my home library.

This book doesn’t have a big variety of the birds described, but has some interesting information about the species that are very common. I will keep this book in my library.

I grew up with crowds and predator birds. I love their symbolic meanings listed in this book. Perfect for me. I recommend.

Very informative and entertaining. Is a great conversation piece, has something for every interest (bird wise, that is). Would make a great gift for both the bird watcher and the folklorist. Contains many beautiful pictures. Is printed on good quality paper and will make a welcome addition to my library for many years to come.

Brilliant book but I wish Id have known it wasn't about British birds. However,it's a very good book if you wants to know more about birds in America
