Loads better than standard glass tile bits.
THIS WORKS EXTREMELY WELL. I can't express how much better this bit works over the standard glass tile bit you find at any big box retailer. If you need to drill/grind through glass tile and you happen to have a dremel tool, buy this bit! You will not regret it.We have a walk in shower that has glass subway tile throughout. We needed to drill some holes through the tile in order to install some shower fixtures. Contractors quoted $800 to drill 4 separate 1/4 inch holes. Several tile guys told us that there is big risk in cracking the tile during the process. We decided to tackle it ourselves. We started with your standard glass tile bit, by Bosch, on a drill. It's a two person job. One to drill and the other to keep a continuous stream of water to act as lubricant/coolant. The bits wore down quickly. Each hole took literally 30 minutes of drilling. Imagine standing there for 30 minutes with the trigger pulled on a drill and keeping constant pressure of the bit on the tile to progress. This tile was only 3/8 thick mind you. Not pleasant. We went through 2-3 bits per hole which cost $10 each.Enter the dremel diamond bit. I saw it online and thought it was worth a try. It cut through the glass like butter. We had a hole cut within 3 minutes. My wife applied the oil as I drilled. Even better, this bit will also grind/route in glass. Meaning once you have your hole drilled to start, you can use this bit to grind outward if you need a bigger hole.Need to drill through glass and have a dremel? BUY THIS! You won't regret it. Don't have a dremel? I'd say it's actually worth it to buy a variable speed dremel anyway and this bit, to get the job done.

Amazing for drilling through shell and stone
This is the best dremel bit that I have found that lasts a decent amount of time as long as you are submerging your stone or shell in water. Always does a clean cut. Product price is the same as purchasing from hardware stores like home Depot and Lowe's.

It works beautifully
This small Dremel tool worked flawlessly on a glass shade. I read that submersion in water or using Dremel oil works best to keep the glass from overheating and cracking. Using a low speed and gentle pressure it made the needed holes at a slow steady pace. The glass powder from grinding, actually liquified in the basin Thank you, expensive but awesome tool.

Great for drilling glass
This is a hollow diamond bit so, unlike regular drill bits, you do not have to drill half way through the glass, then flip it over and drill through the back in order to avoid blowing out the back. This is a big plus in my book as drilling through the back can be really hard to line up properly. It comes with an oil that I have yet to use. I put the glass I'm drilling in a pan of tap water and hold one side down with my finger. Not terribly professional but it gets the job done easily. I prefer using water because I don't risk the glass getting so hot that it cracks. However, I've only drilled small pieces of glass and this method is probably not very appropriate for larger pieces. The noise generated by the diamonds against glass is ear-splitting. I highly recommend using ear protection when using this product. And, of course, if you do use water, take the necessary precautions you would when using any electrical tool around water. The only con I can think of is that dremmel does not have a smaller size bit like this.

Drill bits inconsistent!
I bought 3 of these because I had a bunch of bottles to drill to make a wall. The first drill bit lasted a very long time- used up all of the oil! The 2nd bit only drilled through 5 bottles before it became dull and shattered 2. The 3rd is still going strong. If you keep it lubricated it is amazing. I just kept wiping off the sludge and added more oil!

I used it on my Art Glass, with my Dremel. Went through quickly and no fragments of glass left behind!! Awesome job Dremel!!

What a waste of money
I bought this bit to drill holes in glass...5 (FIVE!!) holes from new and it's blunt, useless and will not even touch the glass I'm trying to drill. What a waste of $27. I bought this after reading reviews on cheaper bits and most saying "at least when you buy Dremel you get quality". Rubbish.
