Heavy Duty compared to what came on the trailer
The screw in our existing trailer jacks bent and flopped up and down. the stock jack Sheetmetal itself was flimsy. You can see it wiggle when deployed. This BAL Stabilizer jack is Made in the USA and MUCH MUCH heavier duty. the screw is 5/8 steel. instead of 3/8 like on the original jacks. the original jacks look to be cheap Lippert jacks. The weight of the Sheetmetal steel is thicker as well.I know they are more expensive than the cheap chinese made ones on Amazon, but it is well worth the extra money spent.

American steel, American made!!!
I recently did an axle flip on my 5th wheel raising it about 6" and while the original stabilizers and jacks are still plenty tall enough to handle the lift, I wanted even more stability and decided to add scissor jacks to the center of the frame just in front of the front axle. I mounted them at a 45 degree angle for 2 reasons:1. If they are mounted at a 90 degree angle from the frame, they would stick out about 4-6 inches from the side of the camper. That's just an injury waiting to happen.2. All of the jacks and stabilizers are mounted at a 90 degree angle from the factory and because of that, they will only offer vertical stabilization which you will get no matter what angle you mount your jacks. By mounting them at a 45 degree angle, they then are providing triangulation of your stabilizers and you'll find that you are stable both vertically and horizontally. My wife can do aerobics in the livingroom while I lay in bed and I'll never know! The only problem now is that because the laundry machine doesn't have an end of cycle tone, my wife can no longer tell when it has finished the spin cycle and it is time to dry! These jacks are SOLID and best of all, 100% AMERICAN steel and AMERICAN made!

Heavy duty American made
These are the ones to buy. If you have a fifth wheel (as I do), these are the first step to stabilizing your trailer. They actually have real "lifting power" 5,000 lbs, if nessessary. As opposed to electric "stabilizers",Lippert brand for example, which have no lifting power. As soon as the Lippert electric stabilizer feet touch the ground, you are suppose to stop the motor. I use these BAL scissor jacks along with two "Wayne's Stabilizers". If you have never heard of this item, search it. It is a simple aluminum devise that triangulates, thus eliminating that annoying shaking that your wife is complaing about LOL. Do not confuse this heavy-duty American made product, with the cheap Chinese ones that many RV companies are installing on their trailers. My son just purchased a new Rockwood travel trailer model 2604. It seems to be a good quality product. It unfortunately came with four flimsy Chinese scissor jacks. At first glance, they appear to be fine, but on closer inspection you can see and feel how inferior they are. You can twist the metal very easily. Good luck!

Just as described!
These are fairly simple to install if you are at all handy and have some basic power tools. At least a good power drill for pilot holes - and I used a cordless impact driver to screw them to the frame. The jacks themselves are robust and come with hardware for mounting.I bought two sets. One handle has already broken the first season of use. I used a 16d nail for a temporary replacement pin but it was too soft. Looking for something more sturdy for a pin. Meanwhile using the spare handle.

its the nice swivel one so its really easy to use in ...
have power stabilizers (non scissor) that came with our camper, 3 slide outs and lots of motion, installed a pair behind and ahead of the wheels and its rock steady. No problems with the crank that came with them, its the nice swivel one so its really easy to use in any position your standing.

Box came damaged
Stands are good but the boxes came all busted up was missing crank handle for Jack's. Didn't return because I needed the Jack's to replace broken ones and was going camping when they came. The stands didn't hold up but 2yrs they ate nothing like the quality they used to be. Had to replace these with another brand just 2yrs after buying these

Much stronger than stock scissor jacks.
These jacks are substantially stronger and provide much better support than the stock scissor jacks. I wish I would have changed the these a long time ago.
