Hidden Napa Valley, Revised and Expanded Edition

A beautiful book!! Purchased 4 and plan to purchase more to share where I live with friends and family.

I bought this as an anniversary present for my husband because he proposed to me in Napa. The photographs in this gorgeous "scrapbook" brought back all the wonderful memories of our trip, captivated everything we loved about the place, and made us crave the lifestyle of Napa enough to ask "when can we go back?".

I lived most of my life near Napa Valley, I now live across the country. Every time I look at this book, it reminds me of home!

I was expecting this to be a trek of places to visit. What it became was a rather rambling collection of photos that left a lot to be desired. Since this book was recommended by Outdoor Photography magazine, I had high hopes. Didn't happen!

This is a beautiful book with great pictures. It is well done and makes a great "small" coffee table book. You will not be disappointed in this book.

Tout comme "Hidden Sonoma" du même auteur, Wes Walker est toujours aussi inspiré pour nous montrer, cette fois, différentes facettes de Napa Valley. Le livre se présente, en effet, comme un petit journal, déclinant au gré des saisons quelques beautés cachées de cette région de la Californie. Le résultat est plutôt réussi et le format - réduit- contribue à rendre ce livre attachant. Ce n'est pas un guide ni un livre de photographies mais un charmant recueil d'observations personnelles agrémentées de légendes particulièrement sobres et bien choisies. Vous l'avez compris, ce livre est vraiment épatant tout comme le prix !
