The number one selling Tru Ball release is the Stinger. Pull Trigger to Open Jaws. Let up to Close! Rigid rod keeps the head close and ready.

Had to do it. But like it.
I like the buckle so I get the same fit up each time so I'd go with a buckle over a Velcro anytime.I like the operation. You pull the trigger to open the jaws. Release and it closes. My old Velcro one required you to push the lever fwd to close. This one is much better. My knuckles started getting lots of pain shooting 3 fingers. I got this because I had to. I found this mechanical release is more accurate than my fingered release.I'm not as comfortable with it because you have the loop and release instead of just your fingers on the string. Kinda like getting use to a glock vs a 1911 with a thumb safety.I do find it easier to pull with my back vs my arm. Because I'm not holding onto anything as I drawl. No arm muscles pulling the string. The strap is buckled to my wrist.Once I get confidence in this release and loop system VS my fingers (control freek, less stuff to malfunction) on the string I think I will be ok with it over fingers and shoot more accurately.

Nice, secure, smooth release.
I bought this release to upgrade from a cheap one I got before. I love this release. I prefer the leather strap over the Velcro one because it is a lot more quiet in the field. It fits nicely and the trigger sets perfectly for my index finger at full draw. The whole thing feels very solid and there is a nice smooth release. I like this type release over a back tension. I feel more comfortable and safe this way. I am taking this on an elk hunt and feel totally comfortable using this release for that. I highly recommend it.

Excellent Product
I like the buckle design because it allows me to strap it on the same way every time and I feel more secure that it wont undo itself under tension from the bow. The trigger can be adjusted very easily both for trigger squeeze and palm size. It feels very secure and strong when pulling back on the bow and the padding is great, no cutting or chaffing, even after shooting for 3 hours.

Decent release Trigger catches on everything
I lost my Cobra release and bought this to replace it.Strap is comfortable and quiet - much better than the Velcro on the Cobra.Release hinges out of the way -makes common tasks easier.I'm getting used to the normally-closed jaws but I still prefer the very crisp on-off Cobra toggle. It's not bad, just different. The trigger is large and shaped so that it catches on everything - straps, lines, bowstrings - you name it.

Great Release, Two thumbs up
I started shooting with the velcro version of the "Stinger" release and I really liked it but I thought I'd try the buckle version. I like the buckle strap because it's quiet compared to the velcro version, you can loosen it while waiting for game and quietly tighten it when you need it. The Stinger has a great trigger, light and crisp. Initially I was apprehensive if the size and buckle holes would be right but that's not a problem, there's lots of room for adjustment. For me it's a great fit and I would strongly recommend it to anyone.

Not reliable, bad experience
Worked great for the first 8 or so times I went to the range, but eventually it failed and could not hold the bow at full draw, it would prematurely let go without me touching the trigger. I punched myself in the g d face once while drawing back. Also launched an arrow in the woods (that was the last time this was used) not safe.

Half inch shorter than the TRU Ball Stinger Velcro release
Honestly, I haven't used it yet. It is identical to my current TRU Ball Stinger release except with a buckle instead of Velcro. When I went to use it, I noticed that the threaded rod is about a half inch shorter than my current release. I was concerned about the effect on my draw length, so this became my back up release until I have more time to practice with it.
