What a great african mind Dr Diop was.

Cheikh Anta Diop, the greatest African scholar ever.
I have red the negative reviews concerning cheikh anta diop's book on this site and none of them argue about the validity and the veracity of the man's work. Indeed, even his most staunch historicist opponents have yet to bring about evidences to dismantle his theories. However, the point of accusing him of "black racism", "black supremacism" is a typical tactic whenever a black man stands on his own and oppose, disregard, and clamps dowm the fallacies of Western Hegelianism. Up until the 18th century, it was an accepted fact in so far as to attribute an African origin to Greece and therefore Western civilization. The issue with Diop is that; he is showing that the African people are related historically and culturally while the Western world is just a tissue of ideological build up. The Founding Fathers of the American Republic where in majority comprised of Francs Macons, thus students of the African culture and civilization of Egypt. Why would the African people seek "assimilation" when their culture is rich enough to better the world?Diop is no racist but an opponent to Racism for he himself states that the simplistic concept of "race" or "racial purety" has no validity whatsoever in the scientific sense. The true purpose of Diop is to tell the blacks, African and all the people of the world who are oppressed that the only way for them to better their own lot is by accepting and re-understanding their own history and by applying the modern science and method of production for their own people. Therefore, the psychological Liberation precede the physical and even material Liberation. Up until these days, despite being free in America for example, very few African American are departing themselves from the 'system' they are attached to. We should not long for acceptance, fictituous egalitarianim or for some sort of redistribution of wealth by the State. Rather, we should seek to control and maintain our wealth through the capitalistic method and control over our education system and even religious belief. Mankind is indeed egal, but life is unequal.

must read book
This is a must have book for african american male\female or children. The great continent mother african has produced some of the best scholars in the past. Or even in the world this book has inspired me into so many ways it has changed my perspective on how perceive information on a educational/scholarly level. I had no idea that the anicent KMT people produce mathematics on a algebra level, and in modern society today we are still utilizing that same education systems that our people of KMT used. American is country that is build upon on Ancient Egyptians knowledge and as I continue to read more books by scholars, I never to misled by gibberish or retoric again.

Diop was a true genius!!
If you really want to know the true beginnings of civilization on planet earth read this book. Diop was a true genius who died too soon, but the knowledge and insight he gave to us through his teachings, writings, and scientific research (radio carbon dating that discovered the ancient kings and queens of Egypt skin contained melanin) has proven where humanity began and just what race is responsible for the beginning of human history and many of the creations that we still are enjoying today. This book is provocative, insightful, and truthful, check the facts yourself, you may be surprised (if you didn't have previous knowledge of self) but not disappointed!

An Anthropological Guide to African History
For those who are serious about their African Studies, this is a must read. Cheikh Anta Diop's book serves as a guide for African Anthropology and in many regards African Archaeology as well. I've found Dr Diop's books to be the foundation on which to judge other books. Especially when it comes down to the richness of African contributions to the world. Most have referenced his books in one form or another but could not write the same information within their books with the same passion or in the same manner as Dr Diop. This book is truly a masterful work.

Fresh view on history
I found this book enlightening and found that a lot of the sources could be traced and verified. It was an education in ancient history. It also proved that all continents have contributed meaningfully to humanity. Sometimes European history is biased and unjustly so.
