Helps her sleep
We have been using this as a transition from swaddling, and still use it at 10 months old. The quality is great, and it keeps her really warm. The weight is perfect to where she can’t wake up and startle herself in the night. Worth the price if they are wearing it everyday

My saving grace for sleep training!!
In the process of trying to sleep train my baby, I heard of this sleep suit. I gave it a try after trying almost every other sleep training trick (minus crying it out cause I don’t believe in that). I’m so glad I did. I had the issue of my baby wanting to be held for naps and her hands startling her or her pulling her pacifier out her mouth while she’s half asleep. The sleep suit makes her feel secure and it restricts her movement enough but not to where she completely cannot reach her face. She sleeps longer stretches without being held and doesn’t wake herself up as much. I didn’t even use this as a transition from swaddling cause she never loved swaddling. I just started using it and she loved it from the jump. My only concern was she would get too hot but I put her in just a diaper with it and she never gets too hot. I just wish I would’ve purchased this sooner!!

No more sleep regression
My 4 month old was waking up in the middle of the night. This was unusual behavior since she usually would sleep from 9 pm to 5 am. My wonderful coworkers told me about this sleep suit! It fit perfectly! She slept throughout the night from 9 pm to 9am! She seemed so comfortable and cozy! This is probably the first review I have ever written but I had to spread the word on how good this product is! Get it now!

AMAZING!!
This is truly the greatest thing. My baby loved her swaddle and I was so scared to transition her out of it when she was about 3 months old… this sleep suit works magic. I got the fleece because her startle reflex was pretty strong and the quality is amazing! It’s thick but not heavy and she’s perfectly comfortable with a light pair of pjs or just a onesie under it. Transition went smooth as well- She slept through the first night in it and is immediately ready to go to sleep whenever I put her in it. She’s a big baby and the large fit her perfectly with room to grow (she’s in 6 months right now). I’m gonna be so sad when we start to transition her to a sleep sack lol. Definitely buy if you’re considering to help transition out of a swaddle!!

Actually magical?
We’ve used every type of swaddle that our baby always resisted or would wake up trying to fight. It would be a process to get her in the swaddle and an investment rocking her to sleep. With this, she falls asleep with no extra rocking or sound stimulation within 2 minutes and stays asleep for a healthy sleep window. I’d recommend this to every parent.

for our son, it was magic
Here's are sleep story thus far.Our son was good at many things but sleep was not one of them. In his first few months he was often up all night. No, I do not mean multiple wakings, I mean basically one or two wake-ups and then he couldn't get him back to sleep as hard as we tried. Some night he slept only 1.5 hours total. We tried all sorts of things, some things worked a little. Swaddling sort of seemed to work a little maybe but it was hard to tell because even as a newborn he would break out of his velcro swaddles. Then our postpartum doula introduced us to the Miracle Blanket swaddle. That was harder to break out of and our son liked it better. Around 3 or 4 months he started sleeping in 1-2 hours stretches because of the swaddle which was a huge improvement. But still, being up every 1-2 hours isn't great in the whole scheme of things, right? Just before our son turned 6 months we started feeding him solid food and he started sleeping way better and things were looking up, food + swaddle was a winning combination but we had a problem: SWADDLE ADDICTION. He could not sleep AT ALL without the swaddle. Why was this a problem? Several reasons. First, I was very scared he's roll on his belly while swaddled and get stuck. Because of my fear of this we got a video monitor, but it still sort of gave me anxiety every night (even though he never actually did this). Also, he sort of had a love/hate relationship with the swaddle. He needed it to fall asleep but sometimes I felt like it was interfering with his ability to resettle himself when he woke. Also, since our son has eczema and you can't itch yourself when you are swaddled it seemed uncomfortable at times. Imagine how maddening that would be, to have an itch and be wrapped up! And no, there was no way to unswaddle him after he fell asleep without waking him. We tried one arm out many times as a transition, but no luck, we were in a bind.Until we met the Magic Sleep Suit. It works like a charm. Our son loved it from the start. He feels cozy but isn't wrapped up so he can re-position himself to resettle or scratch an itch. At 8.5 months sleeps totally through the night (9pm - 7:15am) on maybe 50% of nights! We put him in naked with just a diaper and overheating has not been a problem. It's AMAZING. I can relax at night knowing he's safe and he won't be stuck if he rolls. I don't feel horrible that he might have an itch he can't get at. He's so happy to get in it every night, he does this cute little cozy wiggle as we zip him up. My husband and I look at each other all the time and say, "wow, I can't believe we made it past the swaddle!" I had no idea how we were going to get him past the swaddle. The sleep suit is very nicely designed. With 2 zippers it's easy in and easy out. Much easier than many swaddles.

High quality product
The Merlin sleep sack is really well made. I do believe it helps my baby sleep better than some of the other sleep sacks we’ve tried. It is certainly the best made one we’ve tried. I don’t see it falling apart within months like the others. I waffled on buying it because of the price, but I’m happy that I did.

Worth the Hype
Put this on my 6 week old after struggling with getting my newborn to sleep despite trying traditional swaddles, velcro swaddles and the nested bean swaddle. While I could get my son to sleep he still managed to wake himself up due to his startle reflux.Magic Merlin worked wonders, little bubs slept a solid 5-6 hours before waking up for a feed at 4am and settling back in for another 3 to 4 hr stretch. First night was a hit and was the only time I got a solid 8 hr stretch Lool.Don’t get me wrong I’ve had some nights around 11 weeks, and 13 weeks where he’s woken up 3x a night in spite of the suit but I would chalk it up to developmental milestones + sleep regressions but as of right now he’s gone back to his normal routine at 15 weeks. FYI also my kid hates getting into the suit would recommend going up to the next size up. For reference my little one was 12lb 3 oz at 6 week.I’ll be transitioning to a sleep sack most likely in the coming month and won’t likely need to go up a size.Hope this helps any sleep deprived momma out there. Worth the money!!

Works great
Worked a charm as a swaddle transition for our little one. Only had to use for a week and could then stop swaddling. Very happy!

Buy it!!!!!
This is the best product ever if you need help transitioning from a swaddle to sleep sack. My 6 month baby sleeps in a crib for 12 hours a night and I don’t have to worry about him rolling onto his belly. I couldn’t recommend this product more!!!

Magic!
It’s hard to actually believe how well this works! It is magic! My 4 month old son, a twin, was waking up every 3-4 hours at night, he was sleeping a little more when swaddled but he would break out of the swaddle and it made me nervous. He also needed to be rocked to sleep. I only purchased one suit as his sister had already transitioned nicely to a regular sleep sack. The first night he slept in the merlin suit he slept from 8-5 ! The best part was I literally dressed him in the suit and he smiled, and then I walked away and he fell asleep on his own. Friends had insisted this would happen but I couldn’t believe it. Believe the hype, it works! Also, I accidentally purchased the micro fleece version and I was nervous that it would be too hot, however as we live in Canada and it was winter, my room temperature is around 70 and I never find him too warm. I leave his feet uncovered and keep him in just a short sleeve onesie underneath the suit. Don’t hesitate with the purchase, sleep is worth the 70$.
