Well-illustrated thorough reference
Good purchase! Useful compact reference book that truly is "A Guide to Terms, Styles, and Techniques". It's a good complement for collector guides. Large, clear, saturated color illustrations on high quality paper. Every term isn't illustrated but there are illustrations on almost every page. Highly recommend.

Easy to handle size
The book helped me identify the different enameling processes. I learned alot. Easy to read. It has brief informative paragraphs explaining nearly every type of process in making jewelry. Learning those terms will assist in properly describing a piece of jewelry. Example what is filigree work, bezel set, cannetille, casting these terms are very important for any jewelry seller. One of my best affordable investments that i consider a valuable tool

a little basic but good
It is a bit basic and lacks visual representation, but it is a good quick guide for terms and descriptions.

Small book with small print
I should have read the description more carefully. I didn't notice how small the book is, as a result of it's size the print is very small and difficult for me to read even with eyeglasses that are 3.0X magnification. Maybe would have been a problem with YOUNGER eyes.
