I use Tripp Lite products pretty much exclusively when it comes to any kind of power distribution need (small on-wall surge protectors, power strips, UPS systems, etc.). I’ve found them to be very high quality with smart designs. This 6 outlet strip is no exception.It’s hard to be excited about something as mundane as a power strip, so think of it more like being disappointed in all of your other, lesser, power strips.The first thing you’ll notice about this strip is that each outlet is actually separate from the main device casing. Very similar to how wall outlets are actually separate pieces rather than being integrated into the wall plate. The outlets are square and provide a very tight grip without causing difficulty inserting or removing plugs.The power strip has a large lighted on/off switch. On the side of the strip is the circuit breaker reset button. The top features a light for showing that the power protection circuitry is working, along with lights to indicate if the wiring of your wall outlet is setup correctly or not (line OK or fault).The right angle plug is aimed to the right, so if you plan to position this power strip to the left of your wall outlet then you’ll end up with a sharp turn right away because the cord will be going to the right and then have to bend back to the left. If you place it to the right of the outlet then you’re all good.The power strip comes with 4 inserts for blocking off the unused plugs. The strip can be placed flat on a surface or mounted using the two mounting holes on the back. The holes feature keying in 4 directions so you can mount the strip horizontal or vertically.Overall I’m very pleased with this power strip. It’s well-built and I expect it to last a long time.

someone finally put the on/off switch on the opposite end from the chord. whoever designed this should be head of the company for design excellence or at least get a big raise. keeps the on/off switch clear of all chords. best design in power strips.

This is a nice heavy duty plug strip. Finally someone makes one with cord on opposite end. Wish I would have found this years ago.

After 3 years of use the on/off switch developed an intermittent problem. Hasn't failed completely yet, but... Tripp Lite is replacing under warranty. Four stars because of the switch problem, five stars for customer service.

With so many brands on Amazon with seemingly randomized letter names, who can you trust? Well you can trust Tripplite, I have half a dozen of their power strips and not one has failed me. Thanks tripp lite

Good amount of joules for the price of this 6 plug.

The requirements of the installation were to use the surge protector as an on/off switch for computer related items with the switch located on the side opposite of the plug in cord. This was about the only unit available that would work for my application. I have a 15 year old Tripp Lite that has been used in the same manner with multi, on and off cycles daily and it is still going strong. I am somewhat surprised that there are not more units like this. I have confidence that the on/off switch will last, although the "Feel" of the switch does not seem to be quite as strong as my older Tripp Lite. Great item, I now wish I had purchased two.
